My family and I have made blending a daily ritual for us. I am impressed that my whole family gets their green vegetables for breakfast everyday— without added processed sugars! My aunt recommended the Blendtec blender, and I couldn’t be happier with how easy it is to use and clean. This lifestyle change has aided in my recent weightloss of over 20 pounds. Fruits and veggies give me so much more energy, and I am just happy I found a fun way to get my daughter to “drink” her veggies.

Hello! I’m new to your site and just saw this green smoothie recipe. I will definitely try this one esp for the kids to taste as well. Can I ask though how many calories does this have per serving? This is for me as I’m watching my calorie intake..:) Thank you so much!
Hi Cindy— we don’t have the calories per serving on the website, sorry. But I know a lot of green smoothie lovers use this website to determine their calorie intake: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/
Zoe is adorable. Thanks for demonstrating the green smoothie making.
Your daughter is sooo adorable! Thanks for posting, you answered my question about whether or not to pack the greens.
I just responded to your question on that other page.
Glad the video helped.
Hi Jadah! I read at the top that you lost 20 lbs from drinking green smoothie but what is your meal plan for the rest of the day for lunch and dinner as well. I have been trying to lose some of my baby weight for a few years know. And also do your daughter just drink green smoothies in the morning or do you give her other foods as well.
Hi! My daughter drinks green smoothies in addition to her breakfast where I usually just drink green smoothies for breakfast. I started with green smoothies in a addition to regular meals, I did a detox for a week, which helped shed a few pounds, then the rest was just eating clean and healthy meals with one daily green smoothie for breakfast. We are working on creating a 21-day program that is similar to what I did and ate during my big weight loss. We’ll keep you posted.
I absolutely love your site and information. I can’t wait to try you smoothies for the next 30 days. Thankx for your work with empowering humanity!!!
Thanks Sherah! You just made my morning.
Hope you have fun with the challenge!
Nancy, thank you for the kind words. A lot of people seem really happy with the Nutribullet and the Ninja in the $100 price range. Also both vitamix and blendtec have a 3-payment plan which another option. But I think baby steps to your dream blender is absolutely fine.
Hey Jadah! Would u recommend the Nutribullet? I started the 30-day challenge that i heard from a friend on instagram and im excited for it, bt i have a real old cheap blender n want to try a new one…i’d love the blendtec its just a little price for what i can afford… Any feedback on the nutribullet would be really appreciated… Thanks for this video!.. Ur lil girl is so adorable:) ur awesome! Thanks again.
Hi Nancy,
It’s Jen here. We have friends who have the nutribullet and LOVE it. So yet— it’s a great option for green smoothies. We actually talked a little about it here: http://simplegreensmoothies.com/shop/ Hope that helps!
what kind of blender is that? blended great!
Hi Bonnie— It’s a Blendtec and it does an amazing job blending green smoothies (as well as anything else, honestly). You can even get the refurbished model for $385 right from Blendtec (which is a steal!).
Zoe is sooo cute! Tell her she did a good job. And awesome thank you for the demo lol. And for the motivation to do this… I will start tomorrow. I’m excited specially seeing Zoe enjoying her smoothie too! lol
Sofia, thanks for the sweet words! I’m glad my daughter could help motivate you. She knows these smoothies are packed with leafy greens. I call it her “growing food.”
