I enjoyed this last smoothie and did make some changes in the previous smoothies too. I am pre diabetic and have high cholesterol so I’m trying to avoid the super sugary fruits like bananas and in this last smoothie recipe you said to swap it with frozen cauliflower, what a great idea!!!! You are right, the taste of it is pretty inexistent.. loved this idea!!!

I do smoothies daily and using ginger and turmeric in every single smoothie (love ginger) unfortunately at times the taste of ginger is prevalent to everything I use.

I loved this challenge because I learned how to mix, swap ingredients as my liking and healthier to my needs.

I read someone said it would be nice to have the challenge for be 2 weeks and I completely agree!!

I joined the challenge to renew my confidence in making smoothies. I was a green smoothie junkie about 13 years ago. We were an army family and I was on a weight loss and health renewal journey. Since my husband retired from the army, we’ve moved a few times, adjusted to civilian life and raised our kids. AND gotten older lol! I needed a kickstart to revitalize my health and ease my creaky joints. I enjoyed the recipes during the challenge. The PDF was very helpful, so thank you! I did add pea protein, chia seeds and sometimes oats to my smoothies depending on my needs for the day. I slept better and deeper overall, and felt refreshed when I woke up the next day. I didn’t lose any weight but I did have a lot less bloating. I plan to repeat the challenge this week and add an additional green smoothie each day. Thank you and your team for putting this even together. It has been a great experience!

I joined to try the smoothie recipes that give me alternatives for healthier eating. I enjoyed making all the recipes and only the honey turmeric smoothie was not for me, although with some tweaks it could be. I will work on the tweaks. I lost 4 pounds over the week so hoping I keep it off by rotating smoothies into my regular daily eating. I’m glad you added the PDF for the grocery list. I didn’t try any of the challenge deals (not that I didn’t like them, just didn’t get to take advantage of them), but with having the flu this week I don’t recall them, but you probably mentioned them at the pre-challenge workshop. I didn’t read many emails this week, so I may have missed that info if it was in an email. My inbox was inundated with emails every time someone posted a comment so I will have to figure out how to turn that off for future challenges as I miss finding other emails in the long list of smoothie challenge comments, which I just log in and read the comments on the website anyway. I really enjoyed the week, loved all the pics everyone posted. Maybe I will win a Vitamix one day that also has the option for the food processor bowl. I would love to get rid of my old food processor! I’m hoping you will do a soup challenge, which would be a great winter challenge as I eat more soup in the winter as a warm up. I loved this challenge! I have done of few of these and this is by far the most user friendly challenge I’ve ever done. It was so much fun to try new smoothies and gave me great ideas to keep making my own. This challenge was so thought out that I really don’t have any suggestions besides maybe a Support group would be easier to use than a website. But the website was pretty simple once I figured it out. I’m proud of myself for sticking with this the whole time. I also think I will continue to prep my smoothie in advance because it makes thing so much easier (especially since I get up at 4 am and don’t have much brain power that early). Thank you so much!

This was the easiest challenge in that you set us up for success! I doubled every recipe so my kids could participate too— they loved trying the new smoothies (even the green smoothie and the lemon/turmeric one!). No they didn’t love them all —though I did!— but it was a great way to explore different combination of tastes in a fun way. And there was no push back too trying any of them— I love promoting adventure! You got me into smoothies many years ago and I have only recently restarted making them. This challenge has upped my game!

I joined on a whim. I have a vitamix blender and never had great results with making smoothies. I thought maybe if I did the challenge I would probably have better recipes. I can happily say the recipes were leaps and bounds better than what I’ve had before. You made it easy too! By day 3 I was noticing more energy and excellent bowel function ( tmi sorry). I’m glad I kept an open mind and a door opened- healthy food can be delicious! Thank you!

I really love this challenge. The only downside I saw was that. The ingredients weren’t always fully listed on the website theyat jen shared. And I always tried to find the p d f but wasn’t always that’s full otherwise I loved it

I joined the challenge to feed my body lots of fruits and veggies. This is my second challenge and it has helped me lose weight and has encouraged me to eat better. I enjoyed most of the smoothies a lot. The orange carrot turmeric is my least favorite – although I know of the benefits of the ingredients. Thank you for offering the challenges.

I first learned of Jen’s site “Simple Green Smoothies” a few years ago and began checking out all the different smoothies. I got a digital copy of her Smoothie book and it’s one I keep going back to for various reasons. I received invitations to enter a smoothie challenge in the past but this time for some reason I decided to give it a try as I have been slipping on my resolve to drink a smoothie each day. I liked the variety of smoothies Jen suggested the suggestions she offers to change things up to suit. I would watch for Jen’s emails to come in each morning with yesterday’s results and the next day’s challenge. I appreciated the information provided on each smoothie the ingredients and have noticed that I feel energized and motivated to keep going. I’m glad I became part of the team of great people working to take charge of their health. I’ve appreciated the chance to get to know people to read their results and comments and feel it’s really been a ‘community’ despite the distances. I wouldn’t change anything …. I’m grateful to Jen for the way she motivated everyone and you know that she’s speaking from experience. Thank you for this opportunity.

My vitamix is relatively new, and I wanted to use it more but found “their” recipes just didn’t do it for me. I’ve REALLY been wanting to learn more about plant based proteins, where to find them and how to incorporate them, so that was probably what excited me the most about this opportunity. I’m not on social media at all, so lame as it sounds, it was a big step for me to join. I’ve been drinking Premier Protein shakes for breakfast for a couple years, but they are SO expensive I was looking for a more affordable option. I think it’s safe to say this challenge pretty much spoke to everything I was looking for! I honestly enjoyed all 7 recipes, even the ones I was skeptical about (aka GINGER! lol) I definitely feel I have more energy, plus a better outlook and excitement about what’s possible with a few simple changes. This was an amazing resource for me and I’m eternally grateful to you Jen, for doing all this work and being kind enought to share it with us!!
