Grad stories
I'm sleeping better, I'm happier and have more energy.
I've been walking every day with my dog or by myself with a book and doing strength training, which feels great. I've lost 7 pounds and have a better outlook because I don't have as much inflammation and fatigue.

Grad stories
It has recruited my husband (big win).
I'm not a natural cook and it takes a lot of my energy to plan and prep… BUT when I prep several meals and have healthy options at the ready it feels so nice. Did I complete this cleanse? Heck no! It fell in a month where we had multiple kids home sick, snow days, and a trip. HOWEVER…

Grad stories
I feel like the best version of myself.
I got so many compliments about how I looked… not just about the weight-loss but about glowing skin. I feel like the best version of myself when I'm eating plant-based… and have this 21-day cleanse to thank for that!

Grad stories
I wish I had known about this in my 40's.
I am 69, and I can honestly say adopting this lifestyle would have saved years of misery and expense due to medical issues.

Grad stories
I've been changed for the better.
Now, I know what foods make me feel great and give me tons of energy. It's like I was a caterpillar that emerged from its cocoon and turned into a beautiful butterfly. I'm not looking back.
A note from Jen
If you’re on the fence, I was too
Would the recipes actually be good? Would I just bounce right back to my old habits? Was it worth eating 100% plant-based for three weeks? Then about eight days in, I was hooked. Less bloated. Sleeping like a rock. Energy through the roof.
Most cleanses end and leave you exactly where you started — or worse, hooked on a product you have to rebuy. This one is different on purpose: you learn to cook real food, so you walk away with skills that don’t run out when the box is empty.
And if you’re nervous about the food? Remember — this is literally what I do. I make plant-based food that’s so good you forget it’s “healthy.” Because healthy should be tasty.

Not likely. The recipe portions are deliberately generous to accommodate even the largest appetites. This is not a starvation diet, it is a celebration of food, flavor, and abundance. We are not counting calories. You will be eating three to five times each day (breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner, if you choose to.) This cleanse is not designed to starve you, and you’re not limited in the number of times you eat, or the amount you eat – only in what you eat. If you do get hunger pangs, make sure that you’re really hungry, and not just bored or thirsty. If it’s a case of real hunger, go for one of the bonus snack recipes, a piece of fruit, or a small handful of nuts, or seeds. One tip to avoid hunger is to chew your green smoothie. This may sound silly, but the chewing action signals your body that food is on the way, and triggers the digestive processes.
Nope — and that’s the whole point. This cleanse runs entirely on real food you buy at your regular grocery store. No proprietary box, no capsules, no subscription. You’ll learn to cook with whole ingredients so your results actually last once the 21 days are up.
You may have many of the staple ingredients in your kitchen already (avocado oil, raw cashews, maple syrup, ground cumin, nutritional yeast, coconut oil, etc). If you do not, the first shop typically costs about $150. Then, once your kitchen is set up, we estimate the cost of the produce to be between $100 per week. If you choose to supplement the plant-based recipes with high quality animal protein like organic chicken breast or cage free eggs, your grocery bill will be higher.
And remember — you’re buying real groceries, not a $400+ box of powders you’ll run out of. Most of this is food you’d be shopping for anyway, just put to much better use.
If you struggle with getting quality sleep, we advise omitting coffee throughout the cleanse. You will get the best results and many cleanse grads choose to stay off coffee after the cleanse because they feel so great. If you and coffee aren’t ready to break up, we suggest having just one cup in the morning to support quality rest and sleep.
If you want the full benefit of cleansing your body, stick with the plan as close as possible. Our detox meals are crafted by our holistic nutritionist for optimal cleansing. This is not a vacation, it’s a cleanse. Yet of course if you truly cannot stand cilantro, turmeric or fennel, you can substitute them out for something you do enjoy, or choose another meal.
Of course— life must go on! The 21-Day Cleanse is a flexible program that you can follow while living your life with family and friends. Using the weekly meal plans and recipes will help you get great results. But, you can still get good results by sticking to the recommended foods lists. You can eat “off meal plan”, eat out, and travel during the program— feel free to ask for tips inside the community to help you the most.
You may experience short-term symptoms like: headaches, bloating, muscle cramps, skin irritations, fatigue, irritability, mood swings, or change in bowel frequency. These symptoms are completely normal and expected.
It usually takes between 2-5 days to complete the withdrawal phase of the 21-Day Cleanse, yet it’s absolutely worth it. Giving your body a break from stimulants will allow your organs to heal and your body to recharge fully. Remember, these symptoms are proof that the cleanse is working and your body is getting the care it needs.
You’ll definitely spend more time in the kitchen throughout the cleanse. In some ways, this is like a crash course plant-based cooking school. I highly suggest following our prep guide to make most of the smoothies, snacks and meals over the weekend. Breakfast is a smoothie (10 minutes), lunch is a reheated soup or quick salad (15 minutes) and dinners will range from 15 minutes – 1 hour to prepare. The good news is, the dinners repeat so you make once and reheat for another evening to give you a break in the kitchen.
We know all about busy schedules here, which is why we’ve provided a weekend prep guide that saves you tons of time during the week. If you’re working and have a full schedule, expect to spend 3-4 hours shopping and prepping on the weekends to make each cleanse week stress-free and enjoyable. The cleanse gives you a wonderful opportunity to really listen to your body. It’s an individual experience that differs for everyone. Depending on the level of toxicity in your body, there may be some less- than-amazing symptoms in the first 3–5 days, such as headaches, nausea, fatigue, skin irritations, etc. Once you hit day five, these should only be distant memories, and you’ll be well on your way to greatness. But some people sail through the entire cleansing period with no side effects at all. You may feel amazing throughout the entire cleanse, or your energy may wax and wane a little.
This cleanse is great for most people, yet you should avoid cleansing in the following situations: advanced cancer, under 16 years of age, if you have an eating disorder, kidney or liver disease, and if you’re underweight. If you have a blood sugar regulation issue (diabetes, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia) or any other medical condition, you should seek your doctor’s advice before undertaking a cleanse. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you can absolutely do the cleanse with some modifications. If this is you, let us know and we can give you specific tweaks to the program to make sure you’re benefitting your baby and body.
You may find that you have more energy than normal—and more motivation! Why waste it? Get moving! Be mindful that you may need to take it down a notch though as your body adjust to the new way of eating. If you normally exercise fairly intensely, reduce your output until you feel strong and energized.
If you don’t normally work out, you would do well to include some regular walking, yoga, swimming or gardening during this time. Try to sneak in some incidental exercise, such as getting off the train or bus one or two stops early and walking the rest of the way. Or park further away from the entrance to the grocery store and walk.
Absolutely. My husband loves our cleanses — the clear plans, the tasty recipes, and how good he feels by the end. Just double the grocery list and recipes so there’s enough for you both.
We offer a 7-day money back guarantee. Enroll now and get 7 days to go through the Week 1 Nutrition Plan, share it with your doctor, try a recipe or three, and say hello to your fellow cleansers in the private support group. If you decide it’s not for you, send us an email within 7 days of purchase and I’ll refund you. I’m that confident that when you commit to this cleanse, you’ll see results… and keep them going. You have nothing to lose but so much to gain when you go plant-based for 21 days.
Reviews
What grads say after 21 days of real food.
If you are determined to try this and do your best to stick with the plan you can have great results! I lost 12 pounds and felt good about eating so well. My skin ended up glowing too. I also had my dental technician say that my teeth and gums had never looked so healthy. The cleanse is really good for your body.
I joined the cleanse because I love the recipes and was in the home stretch of a college class. I needed a plan ☺️ and noticed I had the energy to keep up with work and college. I am proud that I learned how to make my own kombucha this time and will keep up my new SCOBY! I also am recovering from foot surgery and am proud that I am almost to 400 miles of my own in Run the Year.
I am 49 and have always been like a roller coaster with eating-I’m either really good and disciplined or really bad. At this age, I’m starting to worry about my health as I get older and wanted to do something to kick start some better eating habits. I have followed for a long time, but have never done a cleanse. I loved it! My favorite was how I could do some prep over a couple of days and then be set pretty much for the week to make it easy on me as I have 5 kids so can’t cook for just me and then for them as well. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed mixing up what I was eating. I tend to stick with what I know, so I really enjoyed trying new things. I felt so much better and I love how Jen is very laid back about it all. I think that is the success to keeping us on track. If we go off the rails a bit, we can just get back on and it’s all good. I feel lighter and just healthier all around. I lost about 10 pounds, have tried a lot of new things, am motivated to try to prep more for me so I have things that are quick to grab when I need to eat. And these recipes are great to even throw some protein on if I need something extra.
I join the cleanse, because I have been thinking about wanting to do it for so long. I thought it was a lot of work at first. The way that I felt during it was so much better, there was no way I was going to stop. I thought it would be harder to not have meat. I really enjoyed most of the meals. Even if I didn’t like an item on the menu, I chose to try it anyway. I feel a whole lot better and healthier now. I already slept well before I started this, but the sleep that I got during this, every night was amazing!
I joined the cleanse for a few reasons. I’ve always had a very healthy diet — lots of fruits and veggies, healthy fats, little-to-no added sugar, gluten-free, etc. But, having gone back to school to become a nutritionist recently, life got incredibly busy and my diet got a little boring. Throwing together the same salad with protein, simple breakfasts, quick lunches. I needed a jump start. I also became very interested in diving into a plant-based diet to learn more about it in the hopes of improving my own health and helping future clients in my community. Going into it, I really didn’t know how closely I’d follow all the prep and menus or how interested I’d be in connecting with others in the online community. But, almost instantly, I felt a responsibility both to myself and the group to give it my all. I also felt a quick kinship with everyone going through it, and was anxious to share my journey and read about others. It was an amazing experience on all levels. The recipes continued to surprise me with how good they were — almost without exception. Of course, you expect one or two that aren’t your favorites, but even those were good overall. For me, some of the recipes contained a little too much added sugar, particularly sauces and dressings (in the form of maple syrup, so that’s good). This is primarily because I have almost no added sugar in my diet. Plus, I know sweet snacks can be a trigger for me to overdo it, so I need to avoid them. However, if I were someone used to eating a highly processed and high sugar diet, this would have been a great way to ease off, so I understand how these recipes would work for most people. And, once I started making the recipes, I quickly learned to adjust for my own tastes. Two things I really wasn’t sure about were 1) how I’d feel entirely giving up dairy, and 2) how I’d like week 2 with no grains and legumes. I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed all of that. Weight loss was not a goal going into the program. What I have noticed is less bloating and better digestive function. That’s huge for me. I attribute most of that to dairy, and a don’t plan to add it back into my diet. As for grains, I surprisingly learned that I feel better when I limit those, as well. I find that they’re hard to resist and sometimes prompt me to eat more than I intend or to eat mindlessly. While I won’t eliminate them entirely — I believe there is too much nutritional benefit — I will be more selective in adding them back into my diet. The thing I’m most proud of is committing to the program without regard to upcoming plans that may have gotten in the way. I adjusted both my behavior and some of my plans to accommodate the program and am so glad I did! I will truly miss some of the women I connected with online during the program. Moving forward, I plan to repeat the process and see what improvements I continue to feel. As I finish up, although I had a couple of struggles along the way, I really have to say that I RAWKED this. So excited for what’s ahead. Thanks Simple Green Smoothie team!

I joined the cleanse because I was at a very low point in my life. I had been doing lots of spiritual soul-searching, but couldn’t seem to get on track with eating healthy. I just wanted to snack all the time to numb everything I was feeling. I knew I needed to do both, mental awareness and healthy food, to truly heal. The cleanse had helped me come full circle on my healing journey.. and more !! I once again enjoyed cooking! The recipes were all so delicious and easy to prepare that I will be making then over and over again! I regained my confidence that I can now grocery shop and fully resist temptations! And I feel fantastic! I lost 7 lbs., my skin is glowing, my clothes feel great on me and that bloated feeling is gone! It’s so hard to believe that after only 21 days, I have changed so many bad habits that I will maintain this lifestyle forever more! Thank you , Jen, and everyone for the amazing support and encouragement!!
I joined the cleanse to feel better, and to stop drinking coffee. As I was going through the cleanse, the first 3-4 days were hard because I had caffeine headaches and had to nap and take Tylenol. After the 10th day, I knew I had kicked my coffee addiction and felt “lighter.” Now I feel great, my gut feels phenomenal, and I have reduced my GERD maybe completely. I’m proud I stuck it out! I’m amazed at how easy it is to make homemade pesto, and am loving looking in the Simple Green Smoothies dot com recipes to use the extra food I have left over. Also I love making the vegetable broth from scraps every week. I seriously love to drink a glass of broth (warmed in the microwave), with my evening meal.
I joined the Rawkstar Community at the beginning of the year wanting to participate in all of the cleanses and have access to a weekly meal plan. I have loved not having to come up with a plan to eat more healthily each week. I loved the meals on the spring cleanse and how great I felt when I stuck to the plan. I have felt more clear mentally and fueled physically. I am proud that I planned and prepped.
I joined this cleanse, because my results were amazing in every way with the Autumn cleanse. Unfortunately, I got ‘beyond off track’ since the Holidays and this is exactly what I needed to get back on track. Something about the structure and the community absolutely works for me. I don’t do social media and rarely post, but I follow, enjoy and appreciate the discussion group. I had tried to get started again during the winter, but wasn’t consistent. This time – thank you again, and thank God I found you 🙂 – following the plan again took me off the sugar and unhelpful habits. Unfortunately, I didn’t lose the weight that I had anticipated, which is a bit disappointing. But that’s the not to blame the plan, I know I overdid some of the snacks, and nuts, and quite likely I was heavier than I was at the start than Autumn, as well. Honestly, it could be a blessing, because it causes me to step back and become more intentional with my vision and my choices. I’ve been sleeping great, I love that I’m eating so many vegetables, and that their the base of my diet. I also love that the food is delicious, and varied, and that it’s my work! The whole family loves it, carnivores, vegetarians, gluten free-ers. I’m proud that even though I was anticipating more weight/fat loss, that I am continuing and not throwing in the towel. I really have no choice! I can’t go back to sugar and poor habits. I do anticipate my body shifting and submitting more at some point soon, and I’ll keep you posted! Thank you!
I’ve been feeling sluggish and had no motivation for things. I knew I needed to change something & have been wanting to clean up my diet. And then came your email about the cleanse. I signed up just in time and I’m so grateful I did! Going through the cleanse I really wanted to stick to the menu. I did it! It was a challenge that first week with my caffeine withdrawals… headaches and body aches. I kept with it though knowing the next week things would improve. On the last day I’m feeling grateful I did this for myself. I’m feeling grateful I joined your amazing program with all the delish recipes, support and community. Everyone involved made a big difference! (So much better than going at it alone) After it all I feel lighter, for sure! I don’t own a scale but I can definitely feel and see the changes in my body and see I’ve shed a few pounds. I feel clean, clear and satisfied. I’m so happy with the cleanse and how I’m feeling. I can honestly say I was satiated and felt I had plenty of options and food throughout each day. Oh, one additional comment is that I loved that your included the core challenge and if I do this cleanse again I’d like to include that next time! Or maybe beginning the second week after the aches are gone. THANK YOU ALL!!!
I joined because I am turning 50 in two weeks. I wanted to get ready for the next chapter and fuel my passions. I loved the recipes and the support. I stuck with because we were all in together. I feel great. My habits have improved, lower my alcohol, coffee and processed foods. Jump started my meal prep which was my main goal but so much more came from the cleanse. I’m proud I did it and made myself stronger for my dreams.
I did the Autumn Cleanse and felt so good that I wanted to try the Spring one. It was a little harder this time. Experienced more of the caffeine withdrawal headaches and some bloating during the 2nd week but once that subsided, I felt great! I am amazed I was able to stay on the program until Friday and not sneak any sweets or tea! (I did stop a couple days early because we had a family cabin cleanup weekend.) I am so glad I did the cleanse. The recipes were all sooo good!!
I needed some motivation and support in getting back to eating whole foods and more veggies. Loosing weight and drinking less alcohol were goals too. I’m proud to say I accomplished a both. And found some recipes my husband and I enjoyed. Now if I could just get the kids to try them. I have fun doing this! I’m excited to get in the kitchen, to cook and see what I get to eat next. And checking the community to see what others are experiencing is enjoyable too.
This is my second cleanse with Simple Green Smoothies. I really appreciate all the group support and accountability. Everyone is honest with their successes and failures. I truly felt like we were all in it together ~ that makes a big difference in do-ability for me! Discovering new recipes and new ingredients, plus trying new approaches, was fun. I find this a good platform for getting into the swing of a more plant-based lifestyle and for re-setting myself when things have gotten off track a little, or a LOT! The recipes are great! I found myself not really craving sweets or coffee and hope to continue with that trend. I’ve lost a few pounds, feel lighter in body and mind and can pat myself on the back for a job well done, though not without a few deviations. That’s the other wonderful thing: no one beats anyone up for slips, indulgences or variations; instead I found only positive encouragement in all the posts and comments. Listen to your body, do what works for you and keep rawkin’! Thank you ALL for the good cleanse and all your help!
