Grad stories
I'm sleeping better, I'm happier and have more energy.
I've been walking every day with my dog or by myself with a book and doing strength training, which feels great. I've lost 7 pounds and have a better outlook because I don't have as much inflammation and fatigue.

Grad stories
It has recruited my husband (big win).
I'm not a natural cook and it takes a lot of my energy to plan and prep… BUT when I prep several meals and have healthy options at the ready it feels so nice. Did I complete this cleanse? Heck no! It fell in a month where we had multiple kids home sick, snow days, and a trip. HOWEVER…

Grad stories
I feel like the best version of myself.
I got so many compliments about how I looked… not just about the weight-loss but about glowing skin. I feel like the best version of myself when I'm eating plant-based… and have this 21-day cleanse to thank for that!

Grad stories
I wish I had known about this in my 40's.
I am 69, and I can honestly say adopting this lifestyle would have saved years of misery and expense due to medical issues.

Grad stories
I've been changed for the better.
Now, I know what foods make me feel great and give me tons of energy. It's like I was a caterpillar that emerged from its cocoon and turned into a beautiful butterfly. I'm not looking back.
A note from Jen
If you’re on the fence, I was too
Would the recipes actually be good? Would I just bounce right back to my old habits? Was it worth eating 100% plant-based for three weeks? Then about eight days in, I was hooked. Less bloated. Sleeping like a rock. Energy through the roof.
Most cleanses end and leave you exactly where you started — or worse, hooked on a product you have to rebuy. This one is different on purpose: you learn to cook real food, so you walk away with skills that don’t run out when the box is empty.
And if you’re nervous about the food? Remember — this is literally what I do. I make plant-based food that’s so good you forget it’s “healthy.” Because healthy should be tasty.

Not likely. The recipe portions are deliberately generous to accommodate even the largest appetites. This is not a starvation diet, it is a celebration of food, flavor, and abundance. We are not counting calories. You will be eating three to five times each day (breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner, if you choose to.) This cleanse is not designed to starve you, and you’re not limited in the number of times you eat, or the amount you eat – only in what you eat. If you do get hunger pangs, make sure that you’re really hungry, and not just bored or thirsty. If it’s a case of real hunger, go for one of the bonus snack recipes, a piece of fruit, or a small handful of nuts, or seeds. One tip to avoid hunger is to chew your green smoothie. This may sound silly, but the chewing action signals your body that food is on the way, and triggers the digestive processes.
Nope — and that’s the whole point. This cleanse runs entirely on real food you buy at your regular grocery store. No proprietary box, no capsules, no subscription. You’ll learn to cook with whole ingredients so your results actually last once the 21 days are up.
You may have many of the staple ingredients in your kitchen already (avocado oil, raw cashews, maple syrup, ground cumin, nutritional yeast, coconut oil, etc). If you do not, the first shop typically costs about $150. Then, once your kitchen is set up, we estimate the cost of the produce to be between $100 per week. If you choose to supplement the plant-based recipes with high quality animal protein like organic chicken breast or cage free eggs, your grocery bill will be higher.
And remember — you’re buying real groceries, not a $400+ box of powders you’ll run out of. Most of this is food you’d be shopping for anyway, just put to much better use.
If you struggle with getting quality sleep, we advise omitting coffee throughout the cleanse. You will get the best results and many cleanse grads choose to stay off coffee after the cleanse because they feel so great. If you and coffee aren’t ready to break up, we suggest having just one cup in the morning to support quality rest and sleep.
If you want the full benefit of cleansing your body, stick with the plan as close as possible. Our detox meals are crafted by our holistic nutritionist for optimal cleansing. This is not a vacation, it’s a cleanse. Yet of course if you truly cannot stand cilantro, turmeric or fennel, you can substitute them out for something you do enjoy, or choose another meal.
Of course— life must go on! The 21-Day Cleanse is a flexible program that you can follow while living your life with family and friends. Using the weekly meal plans and recipes will help you get great results. But, you can still get good results by sticking to the recommended foods lists. You can eat “off meal plan”, eat out, and travel during the program— feel free to ask for tips inside the community to help you the most.
You may experience short-term symptoms like: headaches, bloating, muscle cramps, skin irritations, fatigue, irritability, mood swings, or change in bowel frequency. These symptoms are completely normal and expected.
It usually takes between 2-5 days to complete the withdrawal phase of the 21-Day Cleanse, yet it’s absolutely worth it. Giving your body a break from stimulants will allow your organs to heal and your body to recharge fully. Remember, these symptoms are proof that the cleanse is working and your body is getting the care it needs.
You’ll definitely spend more time in the kitchen throughout the cleanse. In some ways, this is like a crash course plant-based cooking school. I highly suggest following our prep guide to make most of the smoothies, snacks and meals over the weekend. Breakfast is a smoothie (10 minutes), lunch is a reheated soup or quick salad (15 minutes) and dinners will range from 15 minutes – 1 hour to prepare. The good news is, the dinners repeat so you make once and reheat for another evening to give you a break in the kitchen.
We know all about busy schedules here, which is why we’ve provided a weekend prep guide that saves you tons of time during the week. If you’re working and have a full schedule, expect to spend 3-4 hours shopping and prepping on the weekends to make each cleanse week stress-free and enjoyable. The cleanse gives you a wonderful opportunity to really listen to your body. It’s an individual experience that differs for everyone. Depending on the level of toxicity in your body, there may be some less- than-amazing symptoms in the first 3–5 days, such as headaches, nausea, fatigue, skin irritations, etc. Once you hit day five, these should only be distant memories, and you’ll be well on your way to greatness. But some people sail through the entire cleansing period with no side effects at all. You may feel amazing throughout the entire cleanse, or your energy may wax and wane a little.
This cleanse is great for most people, yet you should avoid cleansing in the following situations: advanced cancer, under 16 years of age, if you have an eating disorder, kidney or liver disease, and if you’re underweight. If you have a blood sugar regulation issue (diabetes, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia) or any other medical condition, you should seek your doctor’s advice before undertaking a cleanse. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you can absolutely do the cleanse with some modifications. If this is you, let us know and we can give you specific tweaks to the program to make sure you’re benefitting your baby and body.
You may find that you have more energy than normal—and more motivation! Why waste it? Get moving! Be mindful that you may need to take it down a notch though as your body adjust to the new way of eating. If you normally exercise fairly intensely, reduce your output until you feel strong and energized.
If you don’t normally work out, you would do well to include some regular walking, yoga, swimming or gardening during this time. Try to sneak in some incidental exercise, such as getting off the train or bus one or two stops early and walking the rest of the way. Or park further away from the entrance to the grocery store and walk.
Absolutely. My husband loves our cleanses — the clear plans, the tasty recipes, and how good he feels by the end. Just double the grocery list and recipes so there’s enough for you both.
We offer a 7-day money back guarantee. Enroll now and get 7 days to go through the Week 1 Nutrition Plan, share it with your doctor, try a recipe or three, and say hello to your fellow cleansers in the private support group. If you decide it’s not for you, send us an email within 7 days of purchase and I’ll refund you. I’m that confident that when you commit to this cleanse, you’ll see results… and keep them going. You have nothing to lose but so much to gain when you go plant-based for 21 days.
Reviews
What grads say after 21 days of real food.
Windswept
You know that feeling you get when you’re outside on a crisp, windy autumn day? Invigorated, fresh, energized? That’s the feeling I always get when doing a SGS cleanse. As a teacher, the autumn cleanse comes at a great time–exhaustion has begun to set in and I’m facing a mountain of marking, and this cleanse just gives energy to tackle it all plus the festive season to come. With meals and shopping lists planned, it’s a no-brainer if you want it to be as well as flexible enough for those who need it to be. All food is delicious, but the best part is the supportive community. Such a great group no matter if it’s your first cleanse or your fifth, whether you need encouragement or not, it’s all judgement free and appreciative. Rawk on!
This was my first cleanse. I knew I needed a change in my eating habits and thought this might be the opportunity to make it happen. I’m so happy I did it and was able to stick to it. I was surprised that I had no cravings for sweets and go meatless for 21 days. The cleanse taught me to make healthy and satisfying meals with Whole Foods. Though prepping the meals and time spent in the kitchen was a lot, it was well worth it . I feel that I have more energy now and lost weight at the same time. I’m hoping to keep the momentum going. Thanks to Jen, with her enthusiasm, and her entire Rawkster team for all your hard work putting it together.
Plant-based Never Tasted So Good!
I’m not new to eating plant-based but the struggles Covid brought to my family left me struggling in a lot of ways including my eating habits being less than favorable. I felt off and knew that I needed to make some changes. When I came across the 21-Day Cleanse I decided that this would be a great way to begin getting back to feeling more like myself. I was not left disappointed. There is a lot of prep work if you’re not used to eating like this but the shopping lists menus prep tips and suggestions in the group help a lot. I love that progress rather than perfection is the focus that substitutions are allowed to make it customizable to your needs and produce availability and that you really can have as little or as much support as you need during the cleanse. I’m not a coffee or soda drinker but there were options to help those who are during the cleanse. The enthusiasm was definitely encouraging! The recipes were SO good! I never felt deprived and found so many new options and ideas that I’ll definitely be adding to my family’s future meal ideas (yes the family loved them too!). Plant-based never tasted so good! The cleanse opened my eyes to how boring and in a rut I had been before in my eating history and it got me thinking and moving my body more. With my new eyes and body I am excited to continue making this type of eating my lifestyle and am looking forward to planting new foods and herbs in my garden next planting season to use in my menus. I will also be joining Rawk the Year to keep the menus ideas recipes support and enthusiasm coming! I’m so excited to be doing this for myself and the benefits that it will bring to my family too! If you’re on the fence about it go for it!
Great first cleanse!
These past 3 weeks has been a great time to focus on myself and my health journey in recovery from a serious health setback. I feel great lost weight and am dedicated to continuing on. Thanks to everyone for their support!
Fantastic
I would highly recommend this cleanse. I have never done a cleanse like this before and didn’t know what to expect. It was the best decision I made. The meals were delicious. I will admit that there were some I enjoyed more than others. I wake up with more energy. I sleep better at night-7 hours of solid sleep unlike the 4-5 previously. I no longer craved sweets and never felt hungry. I even lost 10 lbs. There is tons of encouragement and support. There is plenty of flexibility in the program and can’t wait until the next one.
Just what I needed!
This cleanse was exactly what I needed to get back on track! I am a long time plant based eater (13 years), but had fallen into habit of indulging in too many sweets and eating out too often. I have to say I am impressed with this cleanse, I wasn’t sure it would offer me anything that new, as I’ve been eating plant based for a long time. But I was wrong! I am back to drinking my daily smoothie and cooking regularly again! Thank you Jen Hansard for this cleanse! The recipes are delicious, even my 17 year old daughter decided on her own to try to join me after watching me for the first week!
1st Cleanse – not my last!!!!
This is my first cleanse at 62 years old. My goal was to reset my metabolism, and this cleanse did that. But, there were so many other things this cleanse did for me, or introduced me to. I made a bunch of recipes that turned out pretty good. Some weren’t my favorite, but I didn’t throw them out. 🙂 The kicker here is that I’m not a cook. I am now. The prep work, slicing and dicing was a bit tedious, for sure. But, hey, it’s only 21 days. Another eye opener for me was learning about some of the foods that I thought I didn’t like – turns out I do like them. Like coconut flakes, almonds, ginger, etc. The trail mix is fantastic. Its now my go to snack. I appreciated the emails and coaching calls. SGS was very responsive to my emails, and the calls contained a lot of good information. Having the replay of the calls was a lifesaver. And the Facebook support group was especially helpful. The group suggested different variations that gave me ideas to make the recipes my own. I could go on, but one other important aspect of this cleanse was the flexibility to make it work for me. That’s so important.
Awesome!!
This is my second cleanse and I have enjoyed them both! Learned a lot including that I do like the turmeric tonic after all! One of the hardest things for me is all the chopping slicing and dicing but I can do it for the 21 days then scale back but still eat clean. I found I do love the morning smoothies! I even bought a small Vitamix to take on travel (when possible). I am hooked on Rawk The Year and all the goodness of SGS recipes!!! I no longer have the heavy yucky feeling after eating a meal (fast food or just my boring same old stuff)—now I feel nourished!! Thank you Jen and team!! Oh and the food is so flavorful!!
AMAZING Experience
I have been talking about doing a cleanse and eating more plant based for the past year and then this “21 Day Autumn Cleanse” showed up in my email and my sister forwarded me the same offer she received from them. I took it as a sign to just hop on and do it even though my mind set wasn’t quite aligned. I am so glad I did it. A week and a half into the cleanse my inflammation went down I dropped 7 lbs and my relationship to food started to shift. I stopped eating late at night after work (I get off at 8pm). My meals were so colorful and full of nutrients not one time did I miss dairy or meat. My body now feels satisfied and really good. I highly recommend just jumping in and doing it it will open your mind to new ways of eating and being.
21 Day Cleanse
This was a great experience and I learned a lot. I really enjoyed a lot of the recipes and will continue to use them. I found that a smoothie (I used the approved protein powder) in the morning and a plant based salad for lunch would indeed get me through the day. I gained more energy and clarity over the weeks. I am going to try to stick with a lot of the things we did during the cleanse (tonic in the mornings, healthy snacks, and mostly plant based meals).
Amazing Rehab
For several years I have done another detox whenever I know my body is in hiatus. I have Fibro and was in the painful stages of a flare up and knew it was time to detox I received the email of this cleanse and loved that it states I can work out! I exercise daily and love it and keep a pretty clean diet so this cleanse really called me to it. To my surprise my husband agreed to join me he’s claimed for years is not a breakfast person and that he’s not hungry until late in the afternoon and the binge eats at night. I am happy to report he rawked this cleanse through family gatherings unplanned outings he made most of the meals and stuck to it! He has lost 10lbs and I’m hopeful he continues the good habits to nourish his body. My Fibro flare up was resolved in days!! And the fact that I was able to keep working out through this was amazing! Although I am a regular person I can tell the difference on how this cleanse was really cleaning the pipes. I have lost 10lbs but in reality I am back to my normal weight when I’m in the middle of a Fibro flare I gain weight overnight fast & feel the heaviness of my pain. My energy levels in the morning are great I relied on pre workout to be able to workout early in the morning but have been able to get up before my alarm and workout great! I was impressed by the flavorful recipes that are surprisingly satisfying! In comparison with the other detox I’ve done it always reassured me I wouldn’t want to be vegan this cleanse left me thinking I could do it if I really wanted to! But we enjoy our steaks sushi and tacos too. The prep work was stressful with both of us working and with three teenagers it was tough but totally worth it and without regrets. Hubby says he’s down to keep some of the recipes into our habits we will be joining Rawk the Year & will be working on figuring what works best for the family. Thank you for such a great program I’m recommending our friends join us to the next one!
Exactly what I needed!
I joined this 21 day cleanse as I realized over the past year+ I strayed from my usual routines and was developing bad habits. Working in emergency medicine one has to be diligent in bringing your own food and snacks as time for meals are few and far between and is customary to always have “junk” readily available to snack on when you’re hungry. This past year+ there was even more of this food around and with added stressors I fell for it. Too much caffeine, too much sugar, too many carbs and too much alcohol. Although I tried on my own to reset (caffeine dropped to unsweetened once a day) I needed help and this was it. I have followed simple green smoothies for awhile but never made the plunge to pay for a cleanse thinking I could do it on my own. Wrong! What.made it work? Motivation from others in group, specific grocery list each week and a menu to follow. I think this was key! And the menus include 3 meals plus 2 snacks per day if needed to quell those hunger pangs. The recipes are awesome – substitutions are given – and any questions readily answered. There are even suggestions on what to add with cravings. I didn’t do this to lose those Covid pounds, (although the 6 lbs I lost a bonus) but as a reset. I have began to resume some form of exercise daily, my sleep is undisturbed and I am wide awake in the morning and my cravings gone. This has and will help going forward to stay on track, to be aware of my choices and be sure to prep for the week ahead. DO IT!! Your body and brain will thank you!
21 day cleanse
Coming to the end of the 21‑day cleanse — currently on day 20 — I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle, having been plant‑based for four years. I didn’t have any bad withdrawals; the hardest part was not getting Starbucks on my way to work. I’m not addicted to the caffeine; I just love the habit, so that was hard! I stuck to the exact meal plan that was in the PDF file and didn’t play around with the days at all. I spaced my timing out where I would have my morning tonic at 9 am, a smoothie at 10:30 am, my first snack at 12 pm, lunch at 2 pm, a second snack at 4 pm and dinner at 7 pm. Those times worked perfectly for me based on my lifestyle and sleeping patterns! I was waking up before my alarm, feeling energized and feeling great. I will say the first week had me really “emptying” (if you know what I mean) lol. On another note I started the cleanse at 140 lbs and weighed in this morning at 133 lbs. Although it’s not always the number on the scale and more about how you feel physically and mentally, that was super exciting! I took on this challenge for so much more than just the effects it would have on my body physically, but also mentally — it really tested my self‑control and determination! I couldn’t be happier and will definitely do another cleanse. As far as maintaining, I vow to find a healthy balance moving forward!
Educational Healthy Experience
This has not been just a 21‑day Autumn Cleanse but an educational experience! I never thought I could do something like this, let alone for 21 days, but it was truly awesome. The best part was having the menus planned for you and a shopping list — a Rawkstar must — so we could buy what was needed for those amazing recipes and not have anything wasted. The hardest part was giving up my morning, afternoon and evening coffee. I no longer drink that much and I no longer put milk in my coffee. I have learned to get my calcium in a plant‑based way! I now drink a smoothie a day. Thanks for all the support. I’m looking forward to becoming a part of the maintenance group. Thank you, Jen and her staff!
21 days of Awesomeness
I feel pretty darn good on day 20. I am planning my next week and it looks a lot like this one… I’m bringing my new favorite recipes with me to my sister’s for Thanksgiving this year, and I will probably pass on the turkey.
