Lil’ Adventurer Cauliflower Smoothie Bowl

Before we get blending, I wanted to talk more about the “adventure” side of this Cauliflower Smoothie Bowl. There’s a story here and I want to share it.

As a family, we call ourselves Team Hansard. No matter how upset we are (or unmotivated to help each other), we are on the same team and need to help one another. That can be washing dishes, cheering at baseball games, making breakfast, grocery shopping or planning for a vacations. We are a team and we all help where needed. #goteam

Are you drooling yet…. because I’m salivating. The recipe. The lighting. The bowl. The toppings. The leaves. Oh, it all came together so perfectly today with this cauliflower smoothie bowl Lindsey and I created together. #happydance

Cauliflower Smoothie Bowl

To help our kids who are 7 and 9 years old understand this deeper, my husband and I even embraced 3 words that we want Team Hansard to embody: simplicity, generosity and adventure. Using these words helps us make decisions and it’s been game changer. For example, when it comes to planning vacations, we now stick with National Parks, road trips and camping trips, since Team Hansard is into a simple + adventurous life.

The more we spend time outdoors hiking and sleeping in tents, the more I realize how important my health is. We need energy to hike, strong muscles to carry our camping gear to our site and health to allow us to even do trips like this. Since adventure is THAT important to us, we take our health very seriously too.

What we put in our bodies will come out one way or another. So we try to balance the burgers and licorice with smoothie bowls and salads. This smoothie bowl here is an awesome one to pack in some tougher veggies like cauliflower and carrots. It’s amazing and I hope you try it!

Yep! We’ve blended cauliflower with some of our favorite fruits to create a tasty + nutrient-packed smoothie bowl to fuel you for you adventures ahead.  I made this recipe for the lil’ adventurers out there like my son Jackson… and those of us that have grown up and are still adventurers at heart.



Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/4 cup carrots (raw)
  • 1/4 cup cauliflower florets (frozen)
  • 1 large orange (peeled)
  • 1 large banana (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple (frozen)

Suggested Toppings

  • blueberries
  • strawberries
  • kiwi


  1. Blend carrots, cauliflower, orange, banana and pineapple all ingredients together. You may need to use a tamper, if it’s hard to blend on it’s own. (You do want this to be thicker than a smoothie, since it’s a smoothie bowl.)
  2. Pour blended ingredients into a bowl and top with your fav fresh fruits. We used blueberries, strawberries and kiwi for this one today.

      Definitely! You will just want to add a liquid base to get it to smoothie texture.

    I have been scared to add cauliflower to my smoothies, but this recipe was AMAZING! I literally couldn’t tase the cauliflower BUT I enjoyed the extra creaminess and substance. Def making this again and will prob add even more cauliflower now that I’m not scared of it. Haha.

      I really love this one and I’m always trying to eat more cruciferous vegetables so it’s a win-win!

    The cauliflower and carrot smoothie bowl sounds interesting, but I’m confused. The prep time includes 3 minutes of cooking time but I see no reference to cooking.

      Hi Cindy,

      Sorry for any confusion. That just refers to the time it will take to blend everything up. Unfortunately our recipe generator doesn’t have “blend time” as an option, so we have to use “cook time” for the time being.
