Strawberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients
Here are a few quick notes about the strawberry banana smoothie ingredients that you will need to make this recipe:
- Frozen strawberries: Look for unsweetened frozen strawberries in the frozen fruit section. Check the label to make sure no added sugars or syrups are included.
- Banana: Choose ripe bananas (yellow with a few brown spots). Riper bananas are sweeter and blend better in smoothies. if you have extras, you can freeze bananas for future smoothies.
- Almond milk: Choose unsweetened almond milk brand for lower sugar or make your own homemade almond milk.
- Frozen cauliflower: Look for frozen riced cauliflower or frozen florets—riced blends more easily. Adding a little frozen cauliflower to fruit smoothies adds fiber + extra creaminess and doesn’t ruin the taste. Promise this is a winner (and you’ll never go back to a straight fruit smoothie).
- Chia seeds: Black or white chia seeds are both fine—there’s no nutritional difference. These superfoods add omega-3s, fiber, and protein.
Recipe Tips
- Add a protein powder or try my homemade protein powder to give you long lasting energy without any sugar crash.
- Swap almond milk with any non-dairy milk like oat, soy, cashew, or coconut milk.
- Use one of my recommended blenders for smoothies to get the creamiest result.

Recipe Variations
- Protein boost: Add 1 serving of protein powder or collagen peptides to make it more filling and supportive for muscle recovery and skin health.
- Extra creamy: Swap almond milk for canned light coconut milk or add ¼ avocado for a richer, creamier texture.
- Fiber-rich: Add 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or keep the chia seeds and add ½ cup frozen zucchini for extra fiber without changing the taste.
- Green smoothie: Blend in 1 cup fresh spinach. This leafy green vegetable blends smoothly and won’t overpower the strawberry banana flavor.
- Naturally Sweeter: Add 1–2 pitted dates or swap half the almond milk for coconut water for a slightly sweeter, more refreshing finish.
Storage Tips
Drink immediately for the best texture and flavor. Or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours—just give it a good shake or stir before drinking!

Was a thick yummy smoothie. I would cut back on half a banana next time and maybe add some spinach to get more greens in my diet. Otherwise, it was a good smoothie recipe to try!
Absolutely delicious! I was a little skeptical about the cauliflower but to my surprise it was scrumptious and my partner loves it too! It reminds us of an oatmeal one that we love but it has half the ingredients. Love how easy these smoothies are too make and enjoy! This smoothie Rawks!!!
I love the Strawberry Banana Smoothie, very creamy…. I used homemade Almond Milk in this one, Delicious.
I was curious about this mix of ingredients. I purchased premade cauliflower rice and portioned it out to freeze in 1/4 cup mounds. This helped me out this morning. I liked it, did not love it… but with every sip it is growing on me. Thank for for stretching my tastebuds.
I think this smoothie would be great if I made it correctly! It wouldn’t blend up so it was more like ice cream instead of a smoothie. I realized I put 1/2 cup cauliflower instead of 1/4 cup. I had it with a spoon instead of a straw. It was good but too much cauliflower taste (my fault). I’ll have to make another one after the challenge the correct way!
Another delicious smoothie! I have never put cauliflower in my smoothie, but I was surprised at how good this one tasted. I couldn’t even taste the cauliflower in it. It is very good and because I froze everything, it was nice and thick and cold. Great taste!
Wow, I was a little hesitant to try this one with the cauliflower in it. I’m glad I have it a shot. I couldn’t even tell it was in it. I love the chis seed in it as well. Definitely give this smoothie a try.
I had never used cauliflower in a smoothie before. 1/4 cup seemed like so little so I added extra. I could taste the cauliflower after blending. I let the smoothie sit for a few minutes while I cleaned up. After the flavors had time to meld a bit it tasted much better. Strawberries are not my favorite fruit but it is still a good smoothie. I’ll make it again for sure. May also add spinach (I miss it!)
Love the flavor of this smoothie! I added maca for an energy boost!
Strawberry banana was good! I did find my blender didn’t blend the cauliflower well . Next time i’ll blend cauliflower and almond milk first then add the rest
Wow, I can’t believe how creamy this one is! I think you mentioned the cauliflower would do this. Never bought frozen cauliflower before but it’s great in this smoothie!
I will definitely make this one again. I never would have thought to put cauliflower in it.
My husband purchased the wrong milk, so I have Almond and coconut milk mixed. It was very good, but I missed the spinach, so I added a handful, and it is yummy. I was very surprised by the cauliflower, you cannot taste it, and it adds a lot of smoothie goodness. I will make this again.
This one was good but a lot thicker (maybe the cauliflower never used before). Was surprised I couldn’t taste the cauliflower, I wasn’t sure the best way to use it since I bought fresh. I decided to lightly steam it and the freeze it. Seemed to work. I also had to add more milk.
This smoothie wasn’t my absolute favorite but it’s still tasty. Definitely would try it again!
I tried the strawberry banana shake and used whole milk instead of the almond milk and it tasted great…very refreshing!
First time with cauliflower in a smoothie. It was really good. I was surprised.
Easy! But a little too much banana. Still good.
Great smoothie! I used 2 tbs water soaked chia seeds. The protein powder I have sort of took over the flavour, I’ll leave it out next time. Still a nice thick smoothie.
Very good. Thanks. Never had a smoothie with cauliflower before.
