Smoothie Challenge Reviews
What past challengers say after a week of smoothies.
Kid approved
I found simple green smoothies years ago and did the challenge then. This challenge is helping me get back to more fruits and veggies in the onslaught of end of school cookouts and grad parties. My kids even got excited because we rediscovered Orange Julius which they had loved and have requested off and on since my first challenge, but we had lost the recipe for. Thanks for helping me to be able to fulfill their requests!
Stay fit
I enjoyed a smoothie for breakfast as it is easier to prepare, fast, and kept me full longer. However, my favorite one was the pineapple mint smoothie, which refreshes my body and gives me the stamina to start my day.
Tried some new things
The challenge forced me out of my smoothie rut. I tried some new ingredients and found out that citrus really makes a smoothie fantastic. My favorite recipe was the Orange Julius Green Smoothie. I will make it again and again! Thanks
New, Tasty Smoothies FTW
I really liked adding some new smoothies to our repertoire, and especially loved the Day 8 Strawberry Smoothie. I enjoyed the creaminess, plus the flavour contrast of the strawberries and cherries.
It’s all about variety
I loved the tropical smoothie bowl! It was my first time trying a bowl and the flavors were awesome!
Smoothie Boost!
Thank you so very much for all the smoothie recipes! My favorite was the Cinnamon Date Smoothie because I felt like the oats made it a true meal replacement. I didn’t think I’d like it looking at the ingredients, but the flavor and texture were great. I would definitely make that smoothie again, and definitely add 1/2 cup toasted oats to other smoothies I make! (I named my review “Smoothie Boost” because all your recipes recommended adding Protein Boost. This smoothie challenge definitely gave a boost to my days and recipe file!) Many thanks and best to you!
Sip Sip AHHHHH
I love the variety in these smoothies. I love how they push me to try new combinations. I get set in my berries and yogurt ways. I am always hesitant with some of the recipes only to find new favorites!
Summer Sippin Smoothies
This smoothie challenge was so much fun! I enjoyed trying all the different flavour combinations and it definitely helped me with my daily servings of greens! It’s hard to pick just one but I think my favourite smoothie was the Pineapple Mint Smoothie! It was so creamy and refreshing all at the same time and I loved that I could use fresh mint from my garden and the kale (that was starting to wilt) from my fridge!
Getting me out of my smoothie rut
I love these challenges because they encourage me to try new smoothie options. A big win for this challenge is that my husband joined me for nine of the ten smoothies! Surprisingly, my favorite recipe is the Tropical Smoothie Bowl – I usually prefer to drink my smoothie. Loved the flavor combination and loved adding the toppings.
Outside the box smoothies
I loved the tropical smoothie bowl because I’d never tried one before and it was a refreshing breakfast packed with so many delicious fruits.
New found energy!
I’m so happy I signed up for this challenge. At first I wasn’t sure it would be something for me but I have learned so much! Since making smoothies I have had a huge increase in my daily energy levels and I can’t even believe it! I love that all the recipes has substitutions available and I could easily swap out something I didn’t have on hand. My favorite these last 10 days was actually day 1. The mango avocado green smoothie. The first green smoothie I’ve ever enjoyed! And that’s why I loved it so much; it was sweet, fruity, and creamy; the greens were masked so well. Thanks you so much for such a fun week, and thanks to all the people that left reviews. They were super helpful to a newbie like me.
Fun Challenge
Great to get out of my blueberry smoothie rut. I loved all of the recipies. It was the variety and the change that was awesome.
Smoothie-rific
I definitely enjoyed this smoothie challenge! I had gotten out of the habit of drinking smoothies so this was great to get me back into it! I wasn’t able to make them all as I didn’t have a chance to get groceries for the second half in time but I remade a few to still enjoy a smoothie every day and will get to the ones I missed in the next few days. Overall a great challenge. 10/10 would recommend!
Blueberry Goodness
This was a great challenge to think each day about eating healthy. I loved the variety of the recipes. I tend to make the same smoothie every day. It was nice to change it up and have recipes to make some thing now. My favorite recipe was the Blueberry Spinach Smoothie. I loved the blueberry spinach smoothie because it was packed with spinach and tasted so sweet. My kids favorite smoothie is the chocolate protein shake. They love it because it tastes like a chocolate milkshake but it is healthy. Thank you so much for taking the time to put these recipes together and make them available for me to try.
Try it, you’ll LOVE it!
Only one win and one favorite recipe? Now that’s a challenge! One win for me, was realizing the benefit of prepping, it made the 10 days a ‘no-brainer’ every morning and allowed me to stay on track with the challenge. The one recipe that I enjoyed (there was way more than one) was the Cinnamon Date Smoothie. I have made fruit and vegetable smoothies plenty of times. This recipe introduced me to a new flavor and experience in a smoothie. Thank you!
