Inspiration to feel better!!!!
I’m new to Simple Green Smoothies and I’m so glad that I joined this amazing community! I’ve always struggled with food choices my whole life and just recently I have made the healthy choice to become a vegetarian…well I guess it’s called a pescatarian because I do eat fish every once and a while. Still I wasn’t sure how to get in all of the proper proteins fats green and nutrients while making this transition. I came across this smoothie challenge online and thought I should give it a try! Jen seemed really personable and went through some of the same challenges when she was getting started as well so I trusted her. I know how important the impact that food has on your body and I wanted to feel better be more energized and have a clearer mind. This smoothie challenge kick started that for me. It has made me want to commit to myself (and my husband but don’t tell him!) to put good foods in my body that will allow me to be more active feel better and reduce my overall stress. The smoothies in this smoothie challenge were delicious easy to make and some even blew my mind in flavour! I was getting in my greens (never tasted it though!) and added protein each and every day and I actually started to feel more energized! I looked forward to these smoothies after my workouts and it has just unlocked this energy that I didn’t know I had. I am using this challenge now as a stepping stone to continue to eat better and to fuel my body with the vitamins minerals and nutrients it deserves. My favourite smoothie on this challenge was the Beginner’s Luck Smoothie! The smoothie that pushed me outside my comfort zone and was delicious was the Perfect Lemon Smoothie! I will definitely being using these smoothies in my regular routine! I’m so excited to continue on this journey with Simple Green Smoothies and explore new recipes and smoothies! I highly recommend this Smoothie Challenge! It’s only for 10 days but it has left quite an impression on my life. Thank you so much!!
Delicious drinks for your health.
I am so happy I joined this challenge. It gave me new combinations of ingredients to try and were surprisingly delicious! Thank you and all the participants that shared their wonderful experiences and ingredient swaps and add ins.
Full on smoothies to the max
Loved this challenge. You can do this challenge at any age or ability. Easy step by step so if you are a beginner or a smoothie pro its well worth doing. I enjoyed the community support and comments on their experience and excitement of each smoothie. A lot of fun and definitely brightens up a wet dull January 🙂
Kathy’s Kravings
It was a little tough but once I got into it everything went smoothly. Figured out what greens and plant milk I liked the best and that I don’t like kale lol. I would try it again and I will definitely incorporate smoothies into my weekly meal plans. My favorite blend was pineapple mango—very refreshing! Thanks for offering this!
Great Smoothies
This is the second time I have done this challenge, I did it once on my own before the challenge started. I have enjoyed all the smoothies, some more than others. Going forward I plan to have at least one green smoothie a day. The amount of frozen fruit available for these smoothies is great. I like avocado and buy them but then I don’t use them up and end up tossing. I have never eaten so much spinach and greens before, these are the smoothies I enjoy most. My sister originally forwarded this website to me, I am so glad she did. Thank you!
Adventures in Blending!
Wow! This green smoothie challenge was very different from the previous ones I’ve done in the past. I’ve always made my smoothies with greens. Not all of these recipes had greens! While most of them were on the sweet side we did have savory make an appearance. For these smoothies I was blending ingredients I never would have thought to put into the blender (I’m looking at you cauliflower!). But also I made wonderful smoothies with carrots ginger lemon and tumeric. And cinnamon was such a game changer! I definitely learned variety is the spice of life! I am terrible at picking favorites. With the exception of one most of the smoothies were superb. Before I reveal the winning smoothie of the challenge I must give an honorable mention to the Tumeric Honey Smoothie. It was quite out-of-the-box. At first I didn’t know what to make of it due to it’s bold flavor profile. It did have some texture but from the beginning to end of each sip my mouth was on an adventure experiencing a myriad of flavors. And today I find myself craving it. In my humble opinion my favorite smoothie of the challege was definitely the Creamy Banana Smoothie. What can I say I love sweet! It was so delightfully creamy thick and cold. I couldn’t believe how filling it was! It was a well-balanced smoothie. I did not find the bananas overpowering at all. But then again I kind of love bananas. It was such a deliciously healthy treat! I would make it again and again!
Addicted to Smoothies
I made all ten smoothies and my favorite was creamy blueberry. The smoothie challenge book provides a great variety of smoothies salads and soups with simple instructions and healthy ingredients. Jen’s smoothie prep idea is a game changer. What a delicious way to get daily healthy nutrients into my body. I’m addicted and can’t wait to make all the recipes.
Deliciously Satisfying Smoothies
I have to be honest. This challenge was rather easy for me because I already drink green smoothies/smoothie bowls daily. However, I have been in a rut, making the same few recipes every day. I loved the variety of combinations this challenge had to offer. It helped me switch up my flavors, and I discovered some delightful ones. Thanks for so many yummy smoothies!
Let’s Do It Again!
I loved the challenge and can’t wait to start doing daily smoothies . For me, I committed to the challenge and using the ingredients that were in each recipe so I would try something new. This gave me a wider range of good foods to fuel my body. I enjoyed all the recipes, maybe a couple would have a few tweaks but I’d make them all again. Probably the biggest thing I learned.. I’ve had so much more energy! You wouldn’t think you’d notice the difference so early on but it really does happen. Thanks Jen and Team for a wonderful challenge- and I’ll continue every day!
Loved It!!!
I loved this challenge because it challenged me in using veggies and spices that I do not normally use. I enjoyed the smoothies some more than others but overall love the outcome. I feel less sluggish and even feel lighter! I even purchased the 30 day challenge and order the cookbook so I will be definitely continuing in drinking smoothies on a daily!
Real Food, Real Results
Loved the challenge. Looked forward to each new recipe and was not disappointed once. All were delicious and left me with energy to meet my day without hesitation. I am in this game for good now. Purchased your app Daily Blends and am can’t wait to try all those recipes as well. Cheers to “Smoothie Operators”!
Throw caution to the wind and give it a try
It was fun to take part in the smoothie challenge and try some ingredients I had never tried before and try some new smoothies. I enjoyed the challenge since all the recipes were ready for me. I appreciated the “get ready” video before we started and I appreciated the tips for making the challenge easy to do. I’m glad to have the information on ingredient swaps and a little background on the benefits of each smoothie. The challenge was just the right length to make it fun. Thanks for allowing me to take this journey with all.
Delicious Challenge
This smoothie challenge was a great way to incorporate more fruits, vegetables and healthy ingredients into my diet. My favorite smoothie was the chocolate peanut butter smoothie because I love peanut butter!! However there wasn’t a smoothie from the ten days that I didn’t enjoy; they were all delicious. Enjoying a smoothie daily has made me feel like I have more energy throughout the day.
smoothie challenge
This challenge is easy, fun and nutritious. The team spirit is always inspiring and keeps me accountable. Starting the day with a smoothie sets the tone for the day. I feel more equipped to eat healthier throughout the day. My favorite smoothie was the Lemon Peach Smoothie. It is a zesty palate cleanser, and very different from other smoothies that I have been making. I’d say it would also be perfect as an afternoon pick me up or after a heavy meal and not just in the morning. Give it a try if you haven’t as yet!
Ahh, finally,…a decent breakfast
This challenge went by way too fast! I am eating gluten free and have been struggling with breakfast ideas. Each of the smoothie recipes were gluten free and delicious. I now have go to ideas/recipes that will really make a difference in how I enjoy the most important meal of the day. What sticks out in my mind with the challenge is the ease and flexibility of the recipes. I keep a well stocked pantry and yet there were a couple of items I didn’t have. I substituted the ingredients I had on hand and each smoothie turned out beautifully. I also like the way the recipes were designed, I could tweak them to my own taste, I am an experiential and need to enjoy and engage in the process. This included buying the ingredients, making the smoothie, and finally consuming it. This was a fun process and each step kept me interested. I am looking forward to this spring and summer when I can harvest the greens I grow. The idea of knowing where my food comes from and how it is grown is important to me. I want to eat cleanly and using my home grown spinach in smoothies . Now I can do that with delicious smoothie recipes, thanks!
