Smoothie Challenge Reviews
What past challengers say after a week of smoothies.
Could be more healthier
I enjoyed it but I thought most of the smoothies were more palatable for children. I like more of a healthy smoothie with greens lemon ginger turmeric etc. not so much milk either. I don’t like the thick milkshake taste for my smoothies. Also I believe people don’t drink enough water on average so putting water in the smoothies helps with that and no added calories. I am someone that makes a smoothie everyday since I’m vegan gluten-free and mostly raw.
Let’s Go Girl
I loved it! I felt good about eating clean and I felt energized and on my way to better health!!
Vitamix rocks!
After how many years this challenge motivated me to dust off my mixer and get blending! Thanks for the challenge. The only one I didn’t like was the lemon smoothie. Maybe more honey? And less seeds🤣
Smoothie Schmoozing
Favorite: Peanut Butter Chocolate Smoothie. I love bananas, peanut butter and chocolate. I look forward to playing with this recipe, trying various nut butters, changing out the oat milk, adding protein boosters, maybe adding a fruit. I am sure one could easily hide a healthy vegetable in this one. Least Liked: Perfect Lemon Smoothie. This one will be a challenge for me. Mine came out awful to the point of undrinkable due to excessive acidity and nasty taste. I like lemon, honey, ginger and peaches. I need the benefits of turmeric. I will play with this one until I get it right. Challenge Benefits: I consumed more healthy foods and fewer sugary sweets. I became familiar with healthy ingredients new to me. I now have access to many new healthy recipes and substitutions. Biggest Drawback: I do not know how to access a support group and do not know how to use it. This challenge would have been much more pleasant without any complications. I submitted my daily reviews via one email sent me with links to the various smoothies. I look forward to the soups challenge as I love soups and enjoy making them in my very old but trusty Vita Mix. I hope I will be notified about future challenges.
Yummy Smoothies!
I have enjoyed the flavor combinations so much. I liked them all but I do have my favorites. It was so much fun trying new things that I haven’t tried before. Fresh ginger was a new one for me. I picked out the coolest shape ginger and sent a pic to my Mom. She may have thought I lost it because I thought it was so cute. What a fun 10 days it has been. I jumped out of bed every morning excited to try a new smoothie each day! Thanks for inviting me to join and for putting together such wonderful smoothie recipes!👍
Adventures of a simple smoothie!
I really enjoyed the Simple Green Smoothie Challenge. I have been making smoothies for many years, always with a vitamix! First, I love the vitamix and could sell the product easily as it does a spectacular job of grinding anything you put into blender. My husband and I drank the smoothies each day, and enjoyed some new and different ingredients, and therefore taste! I personally am very interested in making a smoothie with fiber, greens, no added sugar and great taste. One of the most surprising recipes to me was the Lemon smoothie, because it had an amazing WOW!! factor! Thanks again for the adventures of new smoothie recipes!
Got tired of bananas
I like bananas but there were so many smoothies with banana I got a little overwhelmed with it. Couple of things I realized. I made the fresh plant milks with my vitamix. I don’t care for oat milk. I really like the fresh almond milk. I blended them up and froze them on prep day so I could just pull one out each morning and take to work. Several of them changed texture when thawed. Were a bit lumpy but still tasty.
Smoothie Heaven
I enjoyed trying all the different smoothies. They were healthy and refreshing!
Fabulous flavors
I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to increase my smoothie repertoire. The challenge was easy to follow, not very expensive and tasted so good. I only had issues with the almond smoothie, due to allergies, but substituted another on the list. I also am not a fan of turmeric but reduced the amount. I had my smoothies at lunch. They were filling and usually kept me full until I had a light dinner. I will definitely continue having smoothies, hopefully daily.
Awesome and healthy
It’s a great way to start the new year! The smoothies are healthy and addicting. The recipes are great tasting and easy to make. Everyone should try them because they will feel awesome.
Evolving into a better me
The recipes were fun and easy to make. I was able to even get my pickiest of eaters to try them. I am on a journey to be on conscience of what I am eating and whether it is fueling my body. This was a nice jump start to that.
I can’t believe it…I finished!
This is my second time doing this smoothie challenge but I did not finish the first time. I made every smoothie this time and I am glad I did. I learned about the different food items and seasonings that I can add to smoothies. I also tried some of the recipes from the website. I saw where my energy increased and my cravings decreased. I am looking forward to continuing my smoothie and healthy eating journey. Thank you for offering this challenge!
Ready for more
This was a great challenge to get out of my comfort zone and try some new flavors. I didn’t love all of them but learned something about what I do and don’t like with each and have some awesome new recipes to add to the rotation and experience to experiment with more variations.
Thanks SO much!
This challenge was awesome! For the past 6 months, I’ve been starting every day with a green smoothie and it was great to try some new flavors. I loved the chocolate peanut butter one, but in all honesty, I’m completely hooked on Beginner’s Luck and various variations of that. I’m looking forward to the Winter Cleanse!
Just what the Dr ordered
Waking up with more energy to face the day….knowing every delicious breakfast smoothie will feed and nourish my body….they were all great….but I guess my fave was a berry banana….I will continue…😃👍🏼
