Smoothie Challenge Reviews
What past challengers say after a week of smoothies.
Fantastic food Smoothies
I make smoothies all the time but the recipes from the Smoothie Challenge were superb! Combinations that I hadn’t thought of. Since we all need our greens I loved the Blueberry spinach Smoothie (substituted kale when I ran out of spinach).. . so refreshing and always filling. Making these smoothies for my visiting grandchildren and they love them too!
Fun Favorite Smoothies!
When I reviewed the cinnamon date smoothie, I said that I liked it but that it was not my favorite. Then I had some of the leftover the following day. The oats made it even thicker and it grew in me. Now, I think I will rate this as my favorite recipe! I have made green smoothies, some similar to the ones here and some different. The cinnamon date one is unlike any that I have ever made and for its uniqueness I will rate it my favorite!
New & Delicious!
Saved the favorite for last ! This chocolate banana protein drink is the best! Smooth and creamy! I loved the variety in this challenge new smoothie drinks, popsicles, and smoothie bowl too! I recommend this challenge and all Jen’s challenges!
Utterly delicious|healthy strawberry cashew smoothie
Strawberry Smoothie 1 cup strawberries ½ cup cherries (frozen) 1 cup cashew milk 2 tablespoon raw cashews-soaked in hot coconut water for 30 minutes Truly is utterly delicious! Always thought cashews was delicious but not heart healthy. So never incorporated in a smoothie salad or meal. Furthermore didn’t realize cashews was a plant-based protein a heart-healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids along with vitamins E K and B6 and Manganese Magnesium Copper as well as Phosphorous and Zinc. Thank you for introducing me to this delicious strawberry smoothie and all the nutrition value in eating 2-tablespoons of cashews.
Anchors a Whey
Blueberry Spinach Smoothie: what a great combination of ingredients! I felt so healthy drinking it. Perfect for a summer treat or anytime for that matter. But it was so much fun trying all of the recipes. They stretched my idea of what a smoothie can be. Thanks a bunch!
Interesting challenge, learned new smoothie recipes
My favourite smoothie was the pineapple mint, I loved the tropical taste. A win for me was learning new smoothie recipes..
Put WHAT in my Smoothie?
I think I would have to say Day 1 for the win, the Avocado Banana Smoothie. If I hadn’t enjoyed this first smoothie, I probably would have quit the challenge. I never would have entertained the thought of putting spinach along with an avocado into a fruit smoothie, but it was delicious and got me excited for day 2, and then to the final day 10 with the Chocolate Protein Shake. This challenge has got me eating my fruits and vegetables daily, which I really had a hard time doing. And another added benefit, is using the Smoothie Protein Powder! So thank you for these delicious recipes, and I can’t wait to decide what smoothie I’ll be making tomorrow to start my day off right.
New to the smoothie game
My favorite smoothie was on Day 1 – the avocado-banana smoothie. It showed me how luscious a green smoothie can be! Several of the recipes were eye-opening to me: I’ve already made the oat-date smoothie twice, in order to customize it (coffee and chocolate protein powder, and less cinnamon). I’ll make several of these again. The pineapple-mint smoothie, the watermelon smoothie…so good!
The amazing smoothie challenge!
The highlight for me personally during this smoothie challenge was the ability to reconnect to living a healthier lifestyle and making better food options a priority once again. Since working remotely during the pandemic I haven’t made good food choices and became complacent. This challenge restored my desire for fresh fruits/vegetables and taking the time to make healthier choices while working remotely. During this challenge I became active again fueled my passion and can see the path ahead much clearer to a healthier lifestyle change. My favorite recipe was the “Orange Julius Green Smoothie”. I truly and honestly love this green smoothie. Yummy!!! When you think of a green smoothie you typically think it is going to be tasteless and healthy. However this smoothie is amazing! It was creamy satisfying husband approved and the taste clearly surpassed by expectations. I really was disappointed when I finished the smoothie on day 9. I wanted more but was reserved. I truly have a different approach and appreciation for green smoothies. Thanks again for providing an amazing experience with this smoothie challenge. You are true “rawk” stars in my book.
Quick and healthy
These challenges are always a great way to start, add too or starting over on your healthy journey! All of the recipes are quick and easy; with fruits that are easy to purchase! Thanks so much for the reminder, healthy doesn’t have to be difficult.
Love my melon
I enjoyed the challenge! Stepped out of my comfort zone with ingredients I normally wouldn’t mix in my smoothies. My favorite recipe from the challenge was the watermelon smoothie. I don’t really care for watermelon but was determined to try each smoothie. Not only did I love this one but it has become a favorite for the entire family!
Get back on track in a fun and tasty way!
Oh the watermelon smoothie was my favorite and we have been making it a lot!! It works well with protein powder and it really good for rehydrating after working out…also a good way to use any part of the watermelon that might be a little softer than you like!
Summer breezy smoothies
Favorite cinnamon date smoothie. I never knew I could make such tasty drinkable smoothie out of oatmeal & dates.I never liked oatmeal. But I will be using this recipe often. Coz’ it’s good for lower cholesterol & sugar. I just add only 2 dates. That was enough sweetness for me. I love other smoothies.
Smoothing the morning edges
Hands down favorite is the Cinnamon Date smoothie. Delicious as is, with coffee added, or a bit of cacao–and I’m sure I’ll find many more variations to ooh and aah over. Perfect blend of my favorite flavors.
New adventure for the whole family!
This challenge made it fun to try new things and fun smoothie recipes. It can be difficult sometimes to introduce new foods or ways to prepare food to my family who can resistive to changes. However, as a challenge, everyone felt compelled to participate and try those new recipes. Our new favorite is the pineapple and mint smoothie. This combo has been surprisingly good and refreshing and I never could have pulled that one off with my family on my own. So thank you, this was a lot of fun and we are on a good streak to continue with morning smoothies now.
