Smoothie Challenge Reviews
What past challengers say after a week of smoothies.
Go for the green!
In pre-Olympic fashion since I couldn’t go for the Gold…I decided to go for the Green! I love sneaking in the fiber and nutrients in a fresh and convenient way. After just a couple of days I started to actually crave green smoothies every morning. I even added a walking challenge for January to amp up my energy. Thanks for the inspiration.
Smoothie Shake Ip
I had so much fun doing the smoothie challenge. I loved the chocolate pb smoothie. My favorite was day 1. I will continue to drink smoothies as my breakfast. Thanks for the recipes and support!!
Great way to do something good for yourself!
I loved being part of this challenge. In a busy time where I spend so much time in front of the computer, this challenge was a way to do something good for myself. I loved having the shopping list list for each half, which made it so convenient to make sure that I had everything that I needed each day to quickly make my smoothies. The directions were easy to follow and I felt that I got a chance to try lots of different types of smoothies, from the light pick-me-up to the more decadent evening treat. In the ten days, I felt that the fiber from the smoothies gave my body an extra kick, so I’m loving it. I hope to continue making one smoothie each day!
Got tired of bananas
I like bananas but there were so many smoothies with banana I got a little overwhelmed with it. Couple of things I realized. I made the fresh plant milks with my vitamix. I don’t care for oat milk. I really like the fresh almond milk. I blended them up and froze them on prep day so I could just pull one out each morning and take to work. Several of them changed texture when thawed. Were a bit lumpy but still tasty.
Smoothie Queen
I thoroughly enjoyed this smoothie challenge. I have owned my vitamix for about two years now and this is the most use it has received! I am thankful just for that! My overall fave was the Beginner Luck’s Smoothie. I make this type of smoothie often. I was super impressed with the water base as I always use a juice base! The Epic Almond, Creamy Banana, and Creamy Blueberry were also among my faves! The creamy smoothies were and will continue to be a great way to incorporate yogurt into my diet! Overall I learned time management and consistency via yummy to my tummy smoothies! I made those for breakfast in the morning before work! Usually I do not have enough time in the morning to make breakfast and often start with an empty stomach until lunch. I made myself wake up earlier to have the time to make the smoothies and still be on time for work! My body was so appreciative for the energy first thing in the morning and it yielded a more positive attitude in the morning! Thank you so much for these 10 recipes and the challenge! I will definitely be repeating all 10 recipes and will even be adding my own touches!
Smoothie Heaven
I enjoyed trying all the different smoothies. They were healthy and refreshing!
Definitely some winners
I found some of the smoothies to be excellent, some that I would try again and again. There were a couple that I would modify a little bit. Sometimes the ginger can be a little overpowering but overall it was quite enjoyable.
Pick a smoothie, any smoothie
I particularly appreciate the variety in this challenge. Instead of just having the same smoothie day after day, I will change it up. Some suit me better than others, but I almost always add a protein supplement. All recipes easily accommodate such additions. All the encouragement and flexibility within the challenge kept it easy and fun. Many thanks for a great time.
Fabulous flavors
I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to increase my smoothie repertoire. The challenge was easy to follow, not very expensive and tasted so good. I only had issues with the almond smoothie, due to allergies, but substituted another on the list. I also am not a fan of turmeric but reduced the amount. I had my smoothies at lunch. They were filling and usually kept me full until I had a light dinner. I will definitely continue having smoothies, hopefully daily.
Smootielicious
Loved that they will were individual sized that fit my Nutribullet without overfilling. Favorite was the Meal Replacement Smoothie with it’s nice blueberry flavor. I didn’t follow the directions on the one that requires a lemon, but instead squirted in too much bottled lemon juice and it came out sour, my bad. This was fun.
10 days and ways to treat your body!
I’ve done several @simplegreensmoothies challenges and love all the recipes and the push they always give me to cleanse and reset my eating habits! My favorite yummie( smoothie!) this time was the Turmeric honey. I battle chronic inflammation and appreciate learning new ways incorporate turmeric to my diet.
Simply Smooth
The smoothie challenge was awesome. It fit right in line with my liquid fast. I was able try new things and recipes. Things that I will use in my life on a regular basis.
Learned What I Love
The green and citrus smoothies are my jam! I wasn’t a fan of the berry smoothies but..in their defense I used fresh instead of frozen and there was something amok with my bananas (they never ripened). Suffice to say – it was a great experience and these smoothies have been great for my body. I can literally feel the difference (happy body). I will continue with the smoothies going forward and I’m so thankful to Jen for providing me with the opportunity to try this smoothie challenge.
Beyond Awesome
Smoothies were delicious and filling. A few pounds came off. Energy level up and I intend to incorporate some of these smoothies in my daily routine. Thanks for inspiring me to make healthy choices for good health.
Fun for the whole family
We decided to try this challenge as a whole family, to get us eating a little better in the new year and to try to sneak a few extra veggies into the kids. While not everyone liked every smoothie, we still had a great time trying them all out and giving each one a rating every day. There were a couple we missed as life got the better of us and we had to skip them for various reasons, but my family is committed to trying them all and finishing them this week. And while they might not have all been winners as written, they have been a great base for us to develop our own. Thank you for providing us this little nudge in a direction for better health.
