Cantaloupe Grape Sweetness-3

The name says it all – this is one sweet smoothie! It’s very hydrating thanks to cantaloupe and grapes. Coconut oil is one of our favorite smoothie additions. It adds healthy fats which is a good source of energy. It may also help to lower cholesterol. We recommend freezing the grapes overnight to help make the smoothie cold.

Description

Try this green smoothie with coconut oil for an extra nutritional boost of “good” fats to help lower cholesterol. Recipe. Submitted by Joy W.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cantaloupe (ripe and rind removed)
  • 1 cup grapes
  • 2 tbs coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Blend spinach, almond milk and water until smooth.
  2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.


Notes

*Freeze grapes overnight to make smoothie cold.

    How can I get a Organic Good Cantaloupe Ripe or Rotten?

    Hi Roger,

    We definitely don’t want you blending with a rotten cantaloupe! We suggest finding a yummy ripe one and removing the rind before blending. My go-to for determining a ripe cantaloupe is smelling the blossom end of the fruit, it should smell sweet!
