Berries are naturally sweet immunity boosters, low-calorie, and full of antioxidants. Kiwi is packed with vitamin C and an amazing fat-burning fruit. We always keep several bags of frozen berries in the freezer— which is perfect for this recipe. Banana adds sweetness and avocado makes it nice and creamy.

Description

Drinking your fruit and veggies never tasted so good! Blend up this mix of tropical fruits and berries and say yes! to your health.


Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach (fresh)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1 bananas
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1/2 avocado

Instructions

  1. Blend spinach and water until smooth.
  2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.

Notes

*Use at least one frozen fruit to make smoothie cold.

    I can’t do bananas. Any suggestions for a substitute?

      I’ve got you covered! Some great banana swaps are mango, papaya, pears, unsweetened applesauce, nut butters, chia seeds, fresh dates, and avocado (won’t add sweetness, but the creaminess we love). Learn more about our favorite banana swaps + banana-free recipes here…

    The recipe says that it serves two. I have been replacing my breakfast the last few days with one serving of the smoothie, and then replacing my lunch with the other serving (while eating dinner like normal). Is this considered OK? I have had a very heavy feeling in my stomach so I’m wondering if two servings in one day is too much? Or maybe my body is still getting used to a healthier diet. Any recommendations? Thanks!

      Hi Brian,

      When using our green smoothie as a meal replacement, we suggest replacing 1-2 meals, so you’re just right! As always, it’s always important to listen to your body!
