Each runner will cover a total of 15 miles during the trail relay. As a team of 8, we'll cover 120 miles in 24 hours... broken into 4-6 mile loops. As night falls, we'll run through the night with headlamps and grit.

Rawkstar Adventure Highlights

RUN + CAMP + SLEEP... REPEAT
Spend 2 nights glamping as a member of the Rawkstar Ragnar Trail Relay team. You'll run the Grand Teton mountain trails, sip french press coffee and cheer your teammates along.

You've always wanted to do a Ragnar Relay...and you want to do it with some fun rawkstars.

You love to run and are trained up enough to go out and do 4-mile run right now. All 8 rawkstars will be required to complete a 5.5 mile loop. 4.3 mile loop and a 5.6 mile loop during the 24 hour race.

You love pushing your body, especially while encouraging others along the way. Yet you also know how to listen to your body and avoid injury.

You don't mind getting dirty, smelly and exhausted all in the same day.

You can mostly stick with a training plan (we all have our "off days", yet you gotta get back "on" quick!).

You love adventure and are able to go with the flow.

You don't have any injuries or medical conditions that will affect you from doing a Ragnar Relay, zip lining or white water rafting.

You're down to play Uno, Yatzee and roast s'mores around a campfire.

You're ready to do something for yourself... because you know you need it.

Jen Hansard's motto is "slow and steady", which keeps her smiling through marathons, 50ks, 100ks and Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim's (three times!). Jen's trained runners for their first marathon and has completed 5 full marathons herself.

She's also trained 23 women to complete the R3 of the Grand Canyon and excited to embark on a NEW National Park with you!  She's always wanted to do a Ragnar Relay... and excited this is the year to cross it off her bucket list!

Jen's a mom of two, the personality behind Simple Green Smoothies, pastor's wife and loves roasted fennel with Brussels sprouts. She believes in "practicing what we preach" to our kids. If we expect them to go after their dreams, we better start going after ours too.

There is a very small, intimate retreat with just 6 spots left. Once it is sold out, registration will close regardless of registration period.

How do I know if I can do this?
You don't have to be in top shape right now to do this— we will train up for it! You should be able to jog a 5k (3.1 miles) right now doing a 12 min mile pace right now. We will build upon that over the 8 weeks of training. It's amazing how the body will adjust to the training.

The Ragnar Relay will be the hardest part of the Adventure Retreat. You have to have some mental toughness and endurance to be one of the 8 relay members. You also have to be disciplined with your training so that you will feel great during the relay.  

After the relay race, we'll drive 3 hours north through Yellowstone National Park for the second part of our adventure. There, we will go ziplining, white water rafting and soak in the natural hot springs.

I really want to do this, yet the dates don't work. Are there other dates? 
This is our very first Grand Tetons/Yellowstone Adventure Retreat and the only one we have plans to do as of now. I'm sure we'll have other locations and events in the future, 

Single Accommodations  
Everyone will be sharing lodging whether that's in a tent or in a National Park Lodge. This is a great way to get to know one another and create a very special experience all around. We will be like sisters by the end... guaranteed!

Weather
August can hit a high of 76° and a low of 39°.  Rain is not likely, but you never know. We will do all activities in the rain, if that happens. Fun doesn't stop for rain!
