Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Also known affectionately as “Pink Flamango,” this Strawberry Mango Smoothie was created by my very first SGS rawkstar team member, Dan Mottayaw.

That was 6 years ago, and now he’s got a little baby girl who will be gulping this smoothie down in a few more months, I’m sure! I mean, what’s not to love? Strawberries + mango is a fabulous combination.

Strawberries Have More Vitamin C Than Oranges

It’s true! Strawberries knock it out of the park in the vitamin C department. A diet rich in vitamin C will help keep your immune system in tip-top shape.

Strawberries are also low in sugar and high in fiber making them a great smoothie addition for anyone who is watching their blood sugar levels. The fiber helps avoid a blood sugar rush and keep your levels more stable.

Mango: The Best Tropical Fruit

Okay, I know that statement is very subjective, but I really, really LOVE mangoes. I could eat them all day long and never tire of them.

Mango is like the tropical version of a peach. Juicy, sweet, chock full of vitamin A, fiber, and best eaten standing over the sink with juice dripping down your chin. No shame here! Add some mango to your smoothie and it’s instantly got an island vibe going on. I like to buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s almost always cheaper than my local grocery store.

This Strawberry Mango Smoothie is a Nutrition Powerhouse

Strawberry Mango Smoothie

This smoothie is also known as “Pink Flamango”. Strawberry and mango are the perfect compliments to one another in this recipe.  Both are mildly sweet, and draw out the flavors of the other. Add some creamy almond milk to the mix and you get a smoothie worth blending over and over.



  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ½ cup mango


  1. Place spinach and almond milk in blender.
  2. Puree until smooth.
  3. Add remaining fruit and blend again.


Use at least one frozen fruit to make the smoothie cold or serve over ice.

    Yum. I added some vanilla protein powder, and this tasted very similar to strawberry ice cream!

    I love strawberries & mangoes together! Not sure how I feel about the almond milk in this recipe. I think I might try it and substitute water or coconut water and then add almond butter or an avocado.

    I did the simple strawberry with the pineapple smoothie cube boost. It was very good. The smoothie recharged me.
    I like these smoothie cubes.

    Although I do not really like almond milk, I LOVED this recipe! Couldn’t taste the almond milk but it gave the smoothie a nice creamy texture.

    Yep, it was good. I have made all of the first five smoothies in the 10 day smoothie challenge and they were all good. Can’t really taste the spinach.

    When I first tasted it after making it I was not very impressed.
    But I had prepared it for the next day since I was going to be out most of the day.
    And the next day when I drank it, it tasted very good I do like it a lot now.
    Mind you I did not realize I had bought almond coconut milk maybe that is the difference.
    So fell in love with it.

    Day 2 – Strawberry Mango Is good. I added a little bit of kale to this one and I don’t think I will do it again. Kale & strawberries I don’t find to be a good mix. At least my taste buds don’t think so.
