I’m looking forward to learning some new recipes that will be filling where I won’t crave the bad stuff. I feel like I’m a fairly healthy eater, but I know I eat to much of it because I try not to snack. Guess I should. Healthwise, I know that eating more plant based would benefit my enire family. But I think I first need to focus on me. I get tired of planning meals that everyone will like. I just get tired of doing all the cooking and cleanup too … but that’s another thing I need to deal with 🙂 I have a blender I make smoothies in but would love to learn other things to make in it. Need to try hummus.
Try making soups and nut milks and nut butters in your blender.
This is a great suggestion, Rhonda!
Hi Joan! Small snacks can definitely help you keep your energy up throughout the day and help you from eating too much later! Just so glad you’re here to learn more about being plant-based!
I love life and won’t to live a healthy long life I lose many of my family members to cancer, more so eating fruits and veggies i believe the best way to go
Hi Alexander! So glad you’re ready to add more fruits and veggies to your diet! What a great way to stay healthy!
I want to lose a little weight and have more energy
Hi Miranda! We all feel as though we can have more energy huh? Myself included!
Great! Nothing like eating healthy
Thanks so much, Margarita! So glad you’re enjoying it!
I’m looking to help my Husband remove the desire of eating meat to obtain a feeling of satisfaction in his meal. Also for me to get back to eating clean. I’m 15 yr free of breast cancer and I’m a personal trainer. So learning a plant based diet I’ll be able to help my clients with their fitness and health journey. Also I will be a GG this year so making changes now will have me in a better position to run play and dance with my GBaby and my daughter and to continue having a HOTT marriage life with my husband.
Hi Cheena! It can be hard to give up all meat, so maybe start with a little at a time! Congratulations on 15 years of being cancer-free, what an accomplishment!!
I like that you don’t force folks to just give everything up, that’s an important element, as I believe more folks will give it a try if they can still have their favorites on occasion. I consider myself 75% PBD, and am satisfied with that. I feel so much better than before, and lighter on my old knees and feet.
Appreciate the support Jim. We def don’t believe in forcing anyone to give up everything— you gotta make it work best for you! We all gotta enjoy something other than plant-based meals/ingredients on occasion. So glad you’re happy with your diet! Rawk on!
This is so important for my health! I need a boost to get going in the right direction! Adding nourishing smoothies into my daily routine is exactly what I am looking for. I can’t wait to learn more ☺️ best wishes to everyone!
Hi Michelle! The smoothies are the best part of my day, glad you’re adding them to your own daily routine!
So I can be more effective in every area of my life. More energy and more joy. I think this will allow me to be more effective in living out the purpose god has given me to do not just for today but for the next 60 years
Hi Kathy! So glad you’re here and looking for energy and joy! The joy is what life’s all about!
HI,
I hope to incorporate more vegetables into my diet. Learning to make vegetable taste good.
I am trying to elevate inflation in my body, I have arthritis.
Losing weight would be a plus.
Hi Lois! So glad you’re joining me for the masterclass! Can’t wait to help you add more veggies into your diet!
I look forward to getting back into the groove. I was making green smoothies and salads the center of my diet about 15 years ago — and I felt the best I ever did. I remember how sticking to that made me lose my craving for sweets and how crammed with veg and fruit my refrigerator was. I started the whole thing to set an example that I hoped my husband would follow.
I fell off the wagon when my husband got sick. It is probably just an excuse but I started eating all the “other” stuff to ease my stress and because “I didn’t have time”.
It has been in really hard to get back on the wagon. I am hoping that I will find the structure I need from your classes.
Any big life change can wreck a good diet. I know what you mean. Last year, my dad battled cancer and eventually passed away from it and all my habits went out the window. So yes, even the “experts” are human and go through seasons with their health. You gotta be gentle on yourself and just be proud to show up now and be ready to get back on the wagon. Tomorrow, we will start with kitchen tools to help you get excited to be in the kitchen again…and then day 3 I will give you a meal plan template you can use to get going. So glad you’re here Char and I know you can get back to where you were 15 years ago when you felt in control of your health.
To better my immune system to help me walk better, sleep better and feel energized throughout the day. Emotionally it will get me through the day without doubting myself if what I ate was good or not. And physically to not hurt in my body as to pain with every move. I believe my beautiful daughter would benefit as she sees what I go through to feel better, and she is noticing and wants to try but not sure. The biggest struggle in me is Hydration and knowing when my body is needing more water before I start to hurt. I love fruits and veggies, not on dairy or sweets, but lack off the cuff ideas when it comes to plating them.
Sounds like you really are in tune with your body and know what you need to do. Creating new habits can help with hydration. What if you set a schedule to have 2 glasses of water first thing in the morning and then set phone reminders throughout the day? It might seem annoying at first, yet eventually it will be programmed into your daily habits and you will do it without thinking. No one should live in pain and if water and eating inflammation-fighting foods like plants can help— let’s get you there.
Wonderful intro class— I was inspired to figure out how to make this my “new lifestyle.” I have a history of cancer (and heart disease) in my family and know I gotta get my diet under control. So this spoke directly to me. My goal is to live a long healthy and active life— and I know eating more plants is the key to that. My kids and husband and parents will benefit from me doing this… but most importantly I will. I’m ready to chase my dreams. 🙂 I took the quiz and I’m “Finding a Groove” currently. I’m curious how I can go farther and look forward to the custom meal plan.
I’m glad you’re inspired and ready to do this. I truly believe a plant-based diet is so freeing and enjoyable. I can’t wait to celebrate your wins as you commit to drinking green smoothies and eating more plants. You’ve got this!
In this class is roasted chicken, fish and lean ground turkey okay? I already eat many of the suggested foods. Have not made homemade hummus. Bet it is easy.
Hi Ivonne— you can absolutely do chicken, fish and ground turkey. You can even do eggs if you’d like (and beef on occasion). The goal would be “portion control” and having these items as a condiment, and not the main entree. You want the roasted veggies to be the star of the meal.
I am hopeful to gain more energy and vitality. I need to fine tune my diet. I see and feel great when I make sure that I eat plenty of greens and hydrate! I want to make great choices daily for my health and well being. I leave too much room for eating poorly as I cave in to craving for things that I know do not make me feel as good as eating well does. I would like to be a habitually fueling my body healthfully eater. I hope to swap my cravings from the unhealthy non-nutritive to the healthy full of nutrients foods. All for a better quality of life now, and a longer healthy life along the way.
Sounds like your body responds well to plant-based eating, which is great news! I love what you said about: “habitually fueling my body.” This resonates with me as well and I hope we can get you on track. The goal is to be dancing into our 80’s… at least that what I’m hoping I can achieve by embracing this lifestyle.
Inprove health, digestion, loose weight, better hydration, improve immunity system, just plain feel better
How to plan meals for the day to ensure I get the nutrition I need.
You have lots of recipes for meals, smoothies, snacks, and deserts but how do I combine them each day to get the nutrition I need
Already know many of your smoothies and meals and they taste great.
All great goals, Neil. We truly believe (and have seen!) the closer we eat to nature and the more variety in your diet— the more these results will happen for you. I have a few tips for you right now since you’re already quite familiar with our recipes:
1. Eat the majority of your fruit in the morning and then switch to veggies the rest of the day. This can be a morning smoothie and then commit to eating hummus and trail mix for snacks and then a vegetable-loaded dinner (with some protein like tofu, nuts, seeds, or even fish/chicken/egg if you’d like).
2. Shorten the window of time you eat each day. This can help limit the amount you consume each day without putting up too many “rules” when it comes to the food.
well, how many points for: I don’t eat fish, I don’t eat meat? 🙂
Way to go Eliza. If this was a vegan scorecard you’d get 5 points right there. 🙂
