  1. I am going to have to stop at this point and say in all honesty, this is certainly not going to work for me. I was not aware that there was so much involvement in this, and the truth be known I arise every morning at 4:00 a.m. I open my self employed business fitness center at 6:00 a.m. I don’t leave until 6:00 p.m. that night 5 days a week and I seriously have no time to buy all of these kitchen appliances all these products with a 11 12 hour day or more I don’t make the kind of money to purchase that I’m sorry I’m sure you’re very knowledgeable, but there’s just no way this is going to happen for me I don’t have the time. I have done smoothie girl recipes, and just will return that way, with The Green Smoothie girl. Thanks for your time.

    1. Hi Randal, Thanks for the feedback! You certainly do not have to buy all of the appliances, these are just things that I have found helpful and eliminate time when prepping my meals. I also understand about not having the time, it can be time consuming to eat plant-based meals but I’ve found meal prepping can really cut down on this!

    2. Randal, for me the high-powered blender, quality pots/pans/knives are basics to start with. You don’t NEED to buy the other items unless they fit your budget and you know you will use them. I cook my rice, quinoa, etc. in a regular pot. I don’t have a rice cooker and I don’t feel the need to get one. Some people love and use theirs all the time. Same for the nut milk maker. With the high-powered blender and a nut milk bag or fine strainer, you can get similar results. I have a much smaller water filter that I use until I can invest in something more permanent. I would like to get an air fryer but that’s something for a later time. I do love my mandoline, but again, that is NOT a necessity if you have a good set of knives. Everyone has different needs, time limitations, budgets. Do what you can, when you can.

      1. This is an awesome response Calli! You are so right, these are not needs but “nice to haves” or “makes life easiers”.

  2. Thanks for the class! We are interested in the Almond Cow. You mentioned there was a $25 off deal but when I clicked on the link in the handout, it didn’t give me a discount. Is there a code I should be using?

    1. Hi Laura! You are so welcome! Let me check on that and let you know for sure!

  3. I’m getting the Spiralizer. Thanks for the link!
Would love the Almond Cow, but it’s cost prohibitive at this time.

    1. Hi Alane! The spiralizer is amazing! Use it all the time. Also, I completely understand on the Almond Cow, it’s an investment but a great one!

  4. I think I’d be most interested in the Almond Cow. I’ve looked at it before, but hesitant because of the cost. I’ve made non-dairy milks with my blender, but it’s cumbersome.

  5. My Kitchen is well stocked – don’t have the water filtration system. I do have a Vitamix , Almond Cow, food processor & an instant pot. The biggest problem is I have two cats and one is afraid of all the loud sounds these appliances make ! Also they always seem to be sleeping when I’m ready to blend something-!!

    1. Sounds like you’re ready to rawk in the kitchen, Christine! As a dog girl, I completely understand about being scared of the loud noises!

  6. I have Diverticulitis and can’t eat nuts or seeds. Do have any suggestions in a plant-base way of eating and recipes?

    1. Hi Sue! Depending on the recipe, you could definitely just omit the nuts or seeds.

    1. So glad you have all the tools you need, Sandra! Sounds like you’re ahead of the game!

  7. From the Kitchen appliances section I like the idea of the use of Almond Cow, who knew there was a tool to make your own milk; I have never been a fan of rice, but my husband enjoys it so I’m think the the rice cooker might be a good idea even since you said you could do oats in it; my final favorite would be the Souper cubes and ice trays. As far as the pantry staples I’m pretty on track with those I’m not to familiar with Chia seeds, Hemp Hearts and Flax seed but willing to give them a try. Oh my have to start trying Tofu again since I’m aware of the press now.

  8. I pretty much have everything except the Almond Cow and the Water Filtration thing. I will look into those 2 items. I am interested in the mason jar covers with a straw hole. Were they listed?

    1. Hi Sandra! We have found the mason jar lids with a straw hole on amazon!

  9. I was surprised to see that I have most of those items already. I recently bought a Vitamix and use for smoothies (made almond milk once in it), but would love to learn other ways to use it (like soup). I really want to buy mason jars. I want to get away from all the plastics in my kitchen. I love the idea of using them for smoothies and also for storage. I think keeping nuts in the glass will keep them fresher vs. leaving them in the bag. Plus, I can see what’s in them. Some of the items you showed I have and have never used … like nutritional yeast. It sounded good at Trader Joes, just need to try it!!! I’m really looking forward to learning new recipes.

  10. I love the Almond Cow but I recently purchased a Nutr. It doesn’t make very much milk at a time. How much does the Almond Cow make??

    1. Hi Patti! The Nutr sounds awesome! The Almond Cow makes about 5-6 cups a batch.

  11. I already have a Vitamix that I use a lot. I think the most interesting thing that I am now considering g investing in is the almond cow. I have tried making nut milk— but it was so messy I never did it again. This sounds like it might be a great new tool. Also thinking about the Mandoline, although I usually use my Cuisinart for that.

    1. Hi Char! The Almond Cow is awesome for making nut milk! Also the mandoline definitely comes in handy as well!

  12. I have a Vitamix, and I love love love it. (I also have a Nutribullet, which was gifted to me by my late greatx2 uncle, which is useful for things that don’t need to be a smooth, or for smaller quantities.)

I bought an Almond Cow, which was pricey but totally worth it (because easy access to additive-free nutmilk, and the leftover pulp, was super helpful while my mom was undergoing chemo, and it’s a lot quicker than using a blender and straining by hand).

I may eventually upgrade my food processor, but am generally happy with everything I have at the moment.
