Berry Cherry Jubilee

With the sweet combination of cherries and mixed berries, this Berry Cherry Jubilee recipe is packed with antioxidants. There are many added health benefits when you add cherries to your green smoothie recipes. Read below to see why cherries are so Rawesome!

Health benefits of cherries

1. 1 cup of cherries (without pits) contain 3 grams of fiber.

2. Cherries are packed with antioxidants which aid in the reduction of heart disease and cancer.

3. They are an excellent source of beta carotene (vitamin A) as well as vitamins C and E.

4. Great source of the following minerals: potassium, magnesium, iron, folate and fiber.

5. Cherries are also known for their anti-inflammatory benefits which helps to reduce pain and joint soreness for runners and athletes after workouts.

Description

With the sweet combination of cherries and mixed berries, this Berry Cherry Jubilee recipe is packed with disease-fighting antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C. Keep calm and get your green smoothie on!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach (fresh)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup cherries (pitted)
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1 bananas

Instructions

  1. Blend spinach and water until smooth.
  2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.


Notes

* Use at least one frozen fruit to make the green smoothie cold. Make sure to remove cherry pits before blending.

    I’ve been an avid user of frozen berries, but because of this recipe, making me remember how much I love cherries, and how good they are for us, my next bag of frozen fruit will be cherries. Can’t wait to try it!

    Cherries (blueberries too) are a great way to hide the spinach for your kids! My picky little girl has no idea what she’s really drinking!

    Yes Jocelyn! Berries can be your best friend with picky eaters. πŸ™‚ I used to have to do that with my kids, but know they honestly don’t care what color the smoothie is because they know they taste good. The only thing I am not allowed to put in my kids smoothies is celery. Everything else is fair game. Cheers to our healthy families!

    I’ve used lots of frozen berries with almond milk and oatmeal and never thought about using Greens and Chia Seeds. The taste is great. Thank you!

    This was great. I could barely taste the banana( which was a plus), and i also added oatmeal to the receipe instead of the chia seeds. it was so yummy. Question how many calories are in this drink?

    Hi Britt! We aren’t sure how many are there. We focus more on counting the nutrients that are going into our smoothies πŸ™‚ Lots of people use My Fitness Pal or Lose It to figure out how many calories are in each smoothie

    Hi, sounds delicious, but I’m confused. The dieprections say to blend the orange juice but the recioe list doesn’t list orange juice. Are we supposed to use ok or not? Best, Judith
