Why You’ll Love It
- This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
- If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
- Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Recipe Tips
- If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
- If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.

Notes
- Use at least one frozen fruit to make the smoothie cold or serve over ice.
- Swap spinach for the leafy greens of your choice.
- Swap coconut water with regular water.
- Use a plant-based protein powder like my homemade protein powder to cut down on the natural sugar in this smoothie.

Pretty tasty! Used a raspberry orange I found at ALDI, which gave it a berry flavor in addition to the orange.
Tropical!
Tastes so good!!
This is good! I followed the recipe except I used mango flavored unsweetened coconut water.
Really good! Even little one liked it and she “doesn’t like mango”.
Absolutely love the flavour of this smoothie….added a couple of sprigs of fresh peppermint….wonderful.
I bet peppermint really made the flavors pop! Great addition. 🙂
Currently participating in the 10 day Rawster challenge , generally I don’t like coconut water , there are substitutes offered for all ingredients throughout the challenge however my OCD means following the challenge to the exact haha I was surprised, first mouthful I found refreshing and I could taste a hint of the coconut water l I enjoyed the smoothie however and thought next time I would make it without coconut water after the challenge , by the third mouthful however the refreshing burst kicked in and the taste was amazing, I pre-judged this fruity delight and will definitely stick to the recipe if I make again.
A lovely summer carnival of goodness in my mouth .
I love mango!! So good.
It was tasty, but I didn’t like the texture (my blender has a problem with oranges)
This smoothie had a bright citrus flavor.
Love this smoothie. It taste like the tropics!
I really loved this smoothie. Made it a meal replacement by adding rolled oats and almond butter. So yummy!!
