Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Also known affectionately as “Pink Flamango,” this Strawberry Mango Smoothie was created by my very first SGS rawkstar team member, Dan Mottayaw.

That was 6 years ago, and now he’s got a little baby girl who will be gulping this smoothie down in a few more months, I’m sure! I mean, what’s not to love? Strawberries + mango is a fabulous combination.

Strawberries Have More Vitamin C Than Oranges

It’s true! Strawberries knock it out of the park in the vitamin C department. A diet rich in vitamin C will help keep your immune system in tip-top shape.

Strawberries are also low in sugar and high in fiber making them a great smoothie addition for anyone who is watching their blood sugar levels. The fiber helps avoid a blood sugar rush and keep your levels more stable.

Mango: The Best Tropical Fruit

Okay, I know that statement is very subjective, but I really, really LOVE mangoes. I could eat them all day long and never tire of them.

Mango is like the tropical version of a peach. Juicy, sweet, chock full of vitamin A, fiber, and best eaten standing over the sink with juice dripping down your chin. No shame here! Add some mango to your smoothie and it’s instantly got an island vibe going on. I like to buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s almost always cheaper than my local grocery store.

  1. Deborah Gilbert says:

So yummy. Just the right amount of sweet. I added a bit more almond milk than called for to thin it out. But still super thick. Love it.

I made mine a complete meal with almond butter and coconut oil. Yum!

  2. Betty says:

I found this smoothie too bland. I think another fruit with a stronger flavor may have boosted it for me.

  3. Raquel says:

Delicious! Loved it! It was a bit thick so added an extra splash of almond milk. Great breakfast meal with added chia seeds.

  4. Jess says:

I think I would have liked this recipe better if I used fresh instead of frozen strawberries. Still good, just not as sweet as I would like.

  5. Marcia says:

Loved it! Tasted great and chocked full of Vitamin C.

  6. Andrea says:

Delicious! I love fruit smoothies for breakfast and I’m always willing to try new recipes. This one is light, yet creamy and great fruit flavor.

  7. Terri Whaley says:

    Yum..

  8. Espy says:

    Delicious!

  9. Jennifer J says:

Great recipe, but I found I had to add more liquid to my frozen fruits since the mixture seized in my blender. The flavor is great and the strawberry really shined through in this smoothie. Would make again, but add more liquid.

  10. CJ says:

This smoothie is so delicious. It had a great taste of strawberry. I’m surprised at how well the greens are hidden in here. I did have to add some more liquid to make it drinkable. I think my blender is too strong in that respect

  11. Jeannette Pepin says:

Really tasty! Loaded with Vitamin C. Great way to start the day.

  12. Melinda Velasco says:

    This is SO good!

  13. Jenn says:

I started my day off with this bad boy and LOVED it!! It’s the perfect combination of sweet and tart (my strawberries were a little less on the sweet side lol). I’m loving the creaminess of these smoothies. Only 2 days into the 10-day challenge but I’ve always put my greens in the blender last, on top of everything else. What a difference making them this way!! Is it bad to have another one of these after my workout in the afternoon? 😉

  14. Christine says:

Day 2 Smoothie, yummy and healthy! Entire family enjoyed it despite the green color 🙂

  15. AnnMarie says:

Simply delicious! Easy peasy 4 ingredients….love it 🙂
