Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Also known affectionately as “Pink Flamango,” this Strawberry Mango Smoothie was created by my very first SGS rawkstar team member, Dan Mottayaw.

That was 6 years ago, and now he’s got a little baby girl who will be gulping this smoothie down in a few more months, I’m sure! I mean, what’s not to love? Strawberries + mango is a fabulous combination.

Strawberries Have More Vitamin C Than Oranges

It’s true! Strawberries knock it out of the park in the vitamin C department. A diet rich in vitamin C will help keep your immune system in tip-top shape.

Strawberries are also low in sugar and high in fiber making them a great smoothie addition for anyone who is watching their blood sugar levels. The fiber helps avoid a blood sugar rush and keep your levels more stable.

Mango: The Best Tropical Fruit

Okay, I know that statement is very subjective, but I really, really LOVE mangoes. I could eat them all day long and never tire of them.

Mango is like the tropical version of a peach. Juicy, sweet, chock full of vitamin A, fiber, and best eaten standing over the sink with juice dripping down your chin. No shame here! Add some mango to your smoothie and it’s instantly got an island vibe going on. I like to buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s almost always cheaper than my local grocery store.

  1. Lalannie Knoll says:

A lighter smoothie that tastes superb. I love that the recipes packs a punch with the ingredients and is so flavorful.

  2. Stephanie says:

Swapped out mango for peaches on two of ours. I think coconut water may have given this a tropical punch needed. It was ok.

  3. Phyllis L. Eisenstock says:

    Another great smoothie from you!
    Delicious!

  4. Efef Salem Wood says:

Another great smoothie. I love how it’s not too sweet and tastes great. I don’t like anything too sweet so for me this was perfect. I bet it would taste even better with fresh local strawberries.

  5. Bobbie says:

I love the green smoothie. I have the
book and have had many of the smoothies.
However I need the challenge to get
back on track of my goal.

  6. Sandra McGuire says:

I enjoyed this smoothie. It will be a nice summer smoothie when the strawberries are fresh. I find it easier to just chuck in 1/4 cup of almonds and a cup of water rather than bothering with the almond milk. I always have almonds on hand, and that’s part of the recipe for making almond milk. I just skip the straining step and enjoy blending it directly into my smoothie. I did add half an avocado to turn it into a meal.

  7. Janie says:

    Delicious!!

  8. Bonnie Tallaksen says:

Not sure if its because of the plague that I’m currently dealing with, but this really was bland. I love mangos and strawberries, so I was a little disappointed. I will come back and try it again once I’m feeling better.

  9. Heather says:

It was good but I prefer my smoothie flavor to have more wow factor.

  10. Sue says:

I liked this smoothie, but so far day 1 is my favorite. Also my strawberries weren’t as ripe as they should have been. I bought the ripest ones they had though. I’m also not use to Almond milk so it wasn’t a flavor I am accustomed to. I will make it again though. I think I’ll try adding different things to give it more flavor.

  11. Amber says:

This smoothie is yummy. I just wish my blender would have worked and mixed it up better.

  12. Jack and Beverly says:

Wow the Pink Flamingo is OK, I have to say not my favorite, but I did enjoy it
in a really cute poka dotted glass. I probably miss the frozen banana. We’ll try it
    again with that.

  13. Another really delicious and easy to make breakfast!

  14. Amy says:

I enjoyed this smoothie just wish my mango was a little bit sweeter! I also added in my protein powder since this was my morning breakfast!

  15. Joyce says:

Really loved this smoothie. Very tasty
